Horrible Sound System or sound man. The sound was horrible for the bands. The sound man seemed to have it set up for Rap. The quality bands like February State and It's like Love had to struggle through their sets. The mic's were over driven (MU pegged), and the mix didn't exist.

Horrible experience. I hope they get it right next time.

Bring Cash.... Plan on bringing cash, because they will not help you when you dispute your bar tab. Thank-you for the one understanding bar tender. For the manager that was in charge that night, instead of offering free drinks at the end of the night in place for the wrong charges on the tab, you handled the situation poorly.

Burn it down!. So Im from Atlanata here in downtown Phoenix to catch a shop at the brickhouse. I get there about and hour early so Im in the bar havin some drinks and a salad, seems pretty chill.. Its actually a shi t whole. so i go outside to buy my ticket, while my tab is still open at the bar with this one bartender, and as im goin back in to get it the guy at the door checks my ID again. I just turned 22 I wanna see this show. The a ss whole checks it out for about 10 min and wont give it back. It was my fuc k ing drivers lisence. So I go inside to tab out and even the bit ch who was being cool earlier just disrespects me cause im from out of state. Do not go here espessialy if you are thinking of trying a fake ID. And if your 21..it's not cool anyway.

Decent place to catch a drink with friends.... It's changed a bit over the years. It's a nice quite place to meet friends after work. There's a full bar (must have gotten the liquor license figured out) Not sure about AC, but I can't imagine any business without cooling here in the Summer.

During a recent visit, there were two other patrons at the bar and the bartender was friendly. The drinks are good, but a bit on the pricey side for the venue. Oh, and unless you work downtown or are here for an event, good luck trying to find a place to park.

Brick House Theatre.... Avoid it like the Plague!. July 22nd with Edwin McCain.... Edwin and band were amazing! We have been huge fans even from the beginning, and were so excited to see him in concert. However, the Brick House Theatre is the worst venue I have ever experienced. The middle of summer in Phoenix, and they have NO air conditioning. Only 2 fans for the entire room made for absolutely horrid air circulation. And no liquor license (which was probably a blessing for most, because booze and 110° don't mix real well.) The song and dance was that the "Liquor license is in transition" but that didn't fool anyone. Why were they checking ID's if they were not serving liquor??

We had to leave in the middle of Edwin's performance because the conditions were so treacherously awful. Two couples next to me alone had to leave early, one during the opening performances, the other during the Edwin's 3rd song. Edwin and band sounded better in person than on the albums, but all were soaked on stage after the 1st song.

I contacted Edwin's management group about the horrid experience at Brick House, and we can only HOPE that the next time Edwin comes through, he goes with a different venue. In the meantime, I recommend that you avoid the Brick House like it's got the plague! I will never return to that business, no matter who is booked.

Absolutely Horrible Experience. I also attended the Edwin McCain concert on July 22, 2006 and it truly was an unbearable experience! It was so hot and muggy that you were sticking to the vinyl seats. I was miserable and I wasn't even up in the front dancing. And to top it all off, they were adding further insult to injury by price gouging us for soft drinks and water just to stay alive!! The women's bathroom was disgusting. On one stall, they had a rope strung across the doorway with a curtain draped over it and another stall didn't even have a door. I would not even recommend this venue to my worst enemy. I am a huge Edwin McCain fan but it was really difficult to sit through that experience. His performance was great. Edwin always puts on a good show; however, because of the unbearable environment, it was very hard to stay and watch his entire performance. In fact, I think even he found it difficult to perform under such conditions, as it it seemed as though his show didn't last as long as it has in the past. I will never attend an event at The Brickhouse Theater. It was hot, muggy, and extremely smokey. They really don't have their act together there. They check your ID at the door to make sure you're at least 21 but then the tickets read "All Ages Welcome". All of which was irrelevant anyway because they weren't even serving alcohol!! The night would have been perfect anywhere else but there. I think it was even cooler outside at 110 degrees than it was inside the place. In fact, when we first got there, two women sitting next to us couldn't even last through the first opening act. They were so uncomfortable that they had to leave.

The Brickhouse, what a nightmare!. So, we went to the Edwin McCain concert on July 22, 2006. The environmental conditions were completely unacceptable. It was about 95 degrees inside. We requested a refund and instead of assisting us they attempted to have us removed.

The whole night was a fiasco. Thanks Brickhouse, we know where not to go for the future.
