Mesa >Ground Scapes LLC
Ground Scapes was a landscape
construction company created in 2002 to provide high end additions to Presidential Pools back yard projects. In 2005 Presidential Pools tried to provide the landscape additions internally and stopped referring us on new work. At the end of 2006, after loosing over $1million in their business venture, they invited us back and asked us to help clean up and complete their jobs with the promise we would again be their preferred landscaper.
By the end of 2007 the country was in the middle of the current recession and even the new jobs dried up. We never received the preferred status we were promised by Presidential Pools and we were backcharged over $50,000 for which we were never paid.
We completed all or part of over 200 jobs in about 7 months and the only complaint that was left remaining was the "tip" by judyrocks below.
Ground Scapes is no longer in the business.
Roy Brown here. I just thought I would
try to set the record straight. Dan O and Ground Scapes were members of a barter club through which we were funding 2/3 of the payments for this job. When the barter option fell apart, there were no more funds to pay for the job but Dan wanted the job completed anyway. That is when the work stopped.
More work was completed than was paid for even though the payment terms of the job were never met by Dan. That is not really a reflection on customer service, it is trying to get something for nothing.
Unfortunately, anybody can post anything on the internet and right or wrong, it stays.
I made a huge mistake using Roy Brown and Groundscapes (G S D L LLC) without listening to the negative reviews here. I really thought that he was going to be a great landscaper, he was always prompt at our pre-sales meetings, and was always friendly. Unfortunately, once the work started, I realized that he didn't care as much about our job as the next big job to come in. My customer experience has been horrible, and I've been forced to file a complaint with the ROC, which is a brutal process. I noticed that he's changed his licenses after they are revoked every few years. Look into it first, do your research, if you are a sucker like I was and some of the other people on the reviews here, and think how great he is in the presales process, put it a contract clause about completion date. Such a terrible experience.
Roy brown is a lier and a theft.
I Erik Stickel have worked for Roy brown in 2010 and again in 2011. He managed to fall behind paying his illegal workers from Mexico multiple times including his one legal worker, me. He would manipulate his way around paying us and at some point in 2010 he managed to pay. 2011 however, is another story. For 2 months he failed to pay myself. Began to ignore phone calls and avoided conversing.
6 months later I have still not been paid. Roy brown not only stole from his workers but from the IRS. Failing to pay taxes and providing his workers with w-2 tax detail.
Roy brown, your time is coming. I hope your decisions were worth the upcoming results. Your an added disgrace to the LDS(Mormon) religion.
YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.
Stay away from Groundscapes! They take your money and don't do the work!. My experience with Ground Scapes has been a nightmare. Don't use them. They have horrendous customer service. We paid them two months ago and nothing has happened with our yard. Someone else I know used them and their yard is half done after three months. We are all reporting them to the Registrar of Contractors. BAD!!!
