Excellent Food w/ WORST MANAGEMENT EVER!!!!!!!. My sister and I loved the food at Zinc when we ate for lunch we decided to take our husbands and kids to have a Sunday lunch in the courtyard. The waiter who is half French / half Tunisa was really pleasant; however, the owner/manager was the rudest person I have ever met! The second he saw us, he pointed to my sister's daughter and said "you again", I cannot handle seeing children like you. My niece didn't do anything!!! He must have confused some other child with my niece. The fact that he came and started pointing at my niece and talking negatively was so offensive to us. My husband who had just placed the order asked for the bill and we walked out of the restuarant. I swore unless the owner is changed, I will never go to that restuarant again. SO RUDE! SO UNPROFESSIONAL! SO RACIST! Literally the worst manager/owner I have ever met!!!! This manager is definitely an absolute NUTCASE!

WORST SERVICE, WORST MANAGEMENT. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU DESIRE TERRIBLE SERVICE AND EXTREMELY RUDE MANAGEMENT!!! After waiting 1 hour after arriving at our table and still not recieving our entree or acknowledgement from the server we decided to pay for the services we recieved and leave. It was at that point the manager felt we should also pay for the entree we never recieved and have it "wrappped up" otherwise he would call the sheriff!! The manager is an absolute NUTCASE and he's fallen off the deep end. He must also be the owner because if not, the owner should know this guy is sinking his/her boat.

Are you crazy?! Zinc is awesome!. Okay, I would hope that if I wanted to change my order that the waitress would check to see if that is possible . She messed up, but I don't think I would be mad enough to go online and write a terrible review. I go to Kierland often and eat at Zinc every time. Every time we ask for Angie. She always has a big smile, is funny (but not overwhelming and does not hang out at the table). When I bring family from out of town, they love it.

Forget Zinc!!! Terrible service and terrible management!. I have eaten at Zinc's a dozen or so times. The service has never been good, but I would typically sit at the bar and I haven't had too many problems. I hear from people all the time how snooty they are.

However, my boyfriend and his son, a couple of other friends and I ate there last night. One of my girlfriends ordered the soup, but after discussing with us decided to go for the steak au poivre which is priced at $26. When she tried to tell the waitress, the waitress stated curtfully that she already put the order in. She didn't offer to check to see where they were with it and we had just ordered it. Just plain bad service. Fifteen minutes later the soup still isn't there as we discussed it with her it arrived and she quickly took it away. While my boyfriend was talking to our waitress about what to order for his three year old son and he was pointing to the $7 mac and cheese. The waitress stated that she would bring the child's mac and cheese which we agreed. That is until we got the bill and saw she charged us $8. Although it is only a dollar, it is the principle. My boyfriend brought it up to her and she was clearly annoyed and said just take off the dollar!! We couldn't believe it. She was so rude. At this point, we were angry and one of my friends asked for the manager who came over. He clearly had a really bad attitude and after listening to us told us that her side of the story was quite different than ours (how many sides of this could there be?) and there was no way to make us happy!!!! We can not believe it.

I go out and eat out a lot. I take clients out on a regular basis many of my clients are thinking of moving here. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK AND I WILL LET EVERYBODY KNOW WHAT IDIOTS THEY ARE!

If you have a bad thing to say about this bistro, you shouldn't be allowed out of the house!. Zinc is one of my favorite restaurants with excellent food! I cannot dine there without having the awesome french onion soup or the frois gras. Delicious! I have read some of the other reviews, and being in the restaruant industry, those of you who have had bad service, probably deserved it! We have never had any problems with the service, and I am highly judgmental of other servers and bartenders. Just because someone spends an insane amount of money on the food doesn't mean you can treat the staff like s#@t! If you are appreciative of great bistro food, you should definitely stop on by!!!

Extremely hostile staff in need of anger management training. I live in NYC and don't mind a restaurant with a little attitude but here the waitress was beyond pushy and downright hostile when you questioned her suggestions. Skip this joint and head to North.

Worst Customer Service Experience Ever. I have never had such a bad experience as I did while visting Zinc. The food was average, at best. Beware of the waitresses padding the check by having you order way more that is necessary. The general manager should not be allowed to be in the customer service industry. I have been in the restaurant business and can say I have never experienced such a rude, pompus manager. After spending close to a thousand dollars for a table of eight, he had the nerve to slam, yes slam the check down on the table and ask four couple who were of vacation to leave the restaurant. Stay away if you want to have an enjoyable night out. I think that should about say it all. Did I mention how bad the service was?

worst service. Zinc Bistro offers unhospitable, unseeing, and uncaring service. The waitresses are poorly trained, snappy and rude. The receptionist couldn't care if you showed up or not, and couldn't wait to dump you at a table so she could go back to her important task of just "hanging out." There are too many other restaurants that offer fine food and attentive service to waste time and money at Zinc Bistro.

Where Ambiance meets Quality, Service & Style. Wow, what an experience! We stumbled on to this restaurant, and were initially intrigued by the charming Parisien/NY interior. We were warmly greeted by the owner, and made to feel like family. The bar service and suggestions were excellent, and our plan was to come back the next evening. We showed up the next evening as a large party, and were not disappointed! We were a group of well travelled foodies and children.... a disasterous combination for any restauranteur. Everyone's needs were met & expectations exceeded. I highly recommend the live oyster bar and the champagne by the glass selection is exquisite. The entrees were sublime. Pomme frittes to rival the best in the world. Service was outstanding. I would so highly recommend this to anyone. Can't wait to go back!

Fab for lunch - do the dessert!. The food is high quality, beautifully presented and the wait staff was very attentive. The ambiance is mixed. The venue looks beautiful, everything is clean, however the accoustics leave a bit to be desired. It gets loud in there.

For our weekday lunch, my companion had the Pork Chop special. It was so good he refused to speak until he had finished the last bite. He said the chop was more like a roast. Tender, Moist and nicely spiced. I had the Crispy 'popcorn' shrimp, avocado & lemon arugula salad. It was the perfect meal size salad (I knew I was having dessert). The warm carn panisse (a very fine grain almost creamy moise corn bread) was underneath the greens. It added the perfect sweet contrast to the refeshing salad dressing. The spiced tomato jam was a good as the spiced tomato jam my grandmother used to make. It was very lightly on the panisse.

For dessert (order first!) we had the Zinc Valrhona Chocolate Souffle. Delectible. Worth the wait. The souffle was light and fluffy. The chocolate was intense and dark. The Gran Marnier sauce sinking into the souffle was the perfect touch. This dessert so satisfying and perfect that I had dreams about it for 3 days afterwards!

Another time I came here for lunch I had the crispy duck confit sandwich. They know how to do duck here. Never greasy, perfectly cooked and spiced. It came with the house fries. I never like matchjstick fries anywhere but I eat a few of them. They were nice but not my thing. I would have prefered a different side dish. My companion that day loved them and she ate both hers and mine! For dessert that day, we have the creme brulee with the orange blossom water & gingersnap cookie. Divine combination and a wonderful end to the meal. The staff was attentive. It was a little loud that day also. (weekend)
