Gorgeous atmosphere and attentive service!

I've been to this spa twice (without ever staying at the hotel) during vacations in the greater Phoenix area and it never has failed to impress me. Both times I've received the Havusupai Body Oasis Experience, which is a custom-treatment inspired by the deserts of Arizona -- it begins with a fantastic waterfall immersion that loosens your back muscles to prepare for a later massage. My therapists always have been top-notch, and even though the spa treatment is quite expensive (about $320 for 2 hours), I never regret shelling out the money. If you visit, be sure to take advantage of all of the beautiful facilities: the sauna, the eucalyptus inhalation room, the whirlpool and cold plunge pool provide lots of indoor relaxation, and the peaceful rooftop pool allows you to swim while watching the lovely Arizona sunsets.

• Pros: Allowed flexibility to change appointment time (with no penalty), not crowded, pretty environment
• Cons: Expensive!
