Bellisimo. I'm apprehensive to write this review because I would love for this place to remain a secret. The $40 special of 2 salads, 2 dinners (any entree on the menu) and a bottle of wine is outstanding. The food is very authentic italian, VERY AUTHENTIC! the canoli's are the best canoli's west of the mississippi. This ain't no oregano's or olive garden, all due repect to those places, but they nailed it at That's Italiano. The service on all my visits have been fine, and the ambience is fantastic especially if you catch them on a night when they provide a lounge act. This place is unbeatable. Go in the winter and enjoy the patio dining, you'll feel like you're in another part of the world. From soup to nuts it's the best Italian food and dining experience in the state BAR NONE! great place, Great Value, Home Run!

Just like the food in Sicily!!. I frequently dine at That's Italiano for lunch. It is a perfect place to have a lunch meeting or chat with a beau. It is quiet and the service and food is always great. The price is also VERY inexpensive. I have never had a bad experience and would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Poor Service - not a good experience for us. The only thing I was impressed by was how bad the service was. Empty drink glasses were left unfilled - until we finally tracked down the waitress and then asked again after she forgot to deliver the first time. We waited a very long time for our food to come out. It was ok food - but not anything special and certainly not worthy of the price charged.

Empty breadbaskets were left on the table - only filled when we asked. The menus were left on the table long after we had ordered. We had to ask for the bill after a long wait. Everyone at our table found it to be an unpleasant experience.

Amazing. Recently this restaurant has improved his menu and between the new additions there are some excellent plates like the appetizer "Vitello Tonnato", "La tagliata di filetto" a sliced beef tenderloin with an Italian raw dressing, and a very delicate poach salmon, but there is also an amazing plate "The halibut with saffron" very different and with an original and very agreable flavor. Certainly a signature dish that was created by Ferdinando Petacci, ex chef of Holliwood Stars, and food consultant for the Restaurant.

That's Italiano. Good value. Very tasty Italian and Italo-American cuisine. With several the dishes reaching the excellency. Very nice family atmosfere and decor. Full bar. Limited wine list but with good and some excellent wines. They have an exterior patio and a room for parties of +- 25 people. Considering the scores assigned to Italian restaurants of much less

Italian flavor in my opinion That's Italiano deserve at least a 9.5 rate

Great food.. I do not understand the previous review but I will offer mine as a counterpoint. Although I have not been to many Italian restaurants in PHX, I have enjoyed the times we have been here to this restaurant. After sitting, you are brought some bread with olive oil + parmesan for dipping. The insalata mista has a subtle dressing which is excellent and I found no issue with the fettucine boscaiola (?). My husband had the caesar salad with the gnocchi and he enjoyed both immensely. Give it a try, the food is very good!

So Much More Potential There. Nothing is more sad than a restaurant that has everything going for it but the food is mediocre. Such is the case with That's Italiano.

The decor is wonderful. The patio seating is a dream. The service was top notch. But the food just didn't quite hit the mark. The bruschette was, however, wonderful. After that, the meal just didn't seem to gel. The Margherita pizza I had was lacking the basil the menu promised. The gnocchi was al dente, but the sauce was bland.

It just didn't seem to meet the high level a $60 dinner for two should.

That's sad.
