Drive anywhere else..
WOW, I will never go to a Sonic again. I had considered this company to offer good service ... I tried to call their 1-800 number. I can not believe they would knowingly let their employees behave is such a manner. I placed our order at the drive-through. Enough food for myself, my friend and her young child. The skinny kid at the window was polite enough. We slowly got handed our drinks, and bags of food. I asked my friend if that was everything. We agreed we had no idea b/c all the employees just walked away, window open. My friend yelled to a chunky, frat boy kid, "Are we done"? He yelled back, looking directly at us, "It's common sense"! Obviously parking lot shouting started to occur. We took her young child home, and returned. We asked for the manager, and was told he was the manager! I decided to not go to jail for beating the fu** out of some tool. My friend found him in the kitchen, and he refused to talk to her. She said she could keep standing there (at the counter) all night. He responded to her with the following, "We're busy", "That's why we say have a good day", and "I don't have time for this, I'm busy". He is yelling this, back to her, in front of everyone! I have NEVER, in my life, seen an employee, much less a manager, behave in such a manner. I am sharing this in the hope that some other family will not be put through this. Seriously, if front of her child, and all the children in the restaurant??? WTF?
His names is James, and he is the manager at 647 East McKellips Road Mesa, AZ 85203.
Retro-outfitted servers deliver burgers, malts and sandwiches to your car at this '50s-style drive-in chain..
Founded in 1953 as a hamburger-and-root-beer stand, this nostalgic eatery is known for its intercom ordering system and roller-skating carhops. While servers rarely roller skate anymore, the famous made-to-order, all-beef burgers and thick malts are still menu favorites. Other signature items include Toaster sandwiches (made with thick Texas toast), extra-long chili and cheese hot dogs and hand-battered onion rings and tater tots. Desserts include chocolate, vanilla and strawberry shakes and fresh fruit slushes.
