Okay Haircut - Need to Know What Services to Ask For.
We are new to the area and had did research on salons in the area. Next Gen had good reviews (including on this site) and are in the area we were looking.
Scheduling the appts was easy, and I stated it was our (two appts) first time coming. There was no mention of a difference in haircut and a blowdry (I now know you pay for a blowdry under a different price). When we arrived there was little delay in our appt time being met, which was a plus. Both of us explained what we wanted and the stylists did a good job on the wash and cut. Then it stopped there.
With dripping wet hair we were asked to assess the haircuts and go pay. No drying, no styling, nada. To add to the frustration the person I had come in with got done before me and their stylist went and sat on bench and read a magazine with another person when done. While my stylist was getting my hair "done", so they could help the stylist in the next station with a color.
I asked if our hair would be blow dried and the answer was "no! your appt was for a basic haircut." Neither stylist offered to a blow dry for the additional fee, nor was it mentioned during scheduling or the appt that we would walk out of the salon with wet hair. Very frustrating, given both stylist had free time after our appt. We were planning to go to lunch, but instead had to go home to deal with our hair.
