Hillcrest is rich in history dating back to the days when it hosted the first LPGA tournament in the Valley (the Arizona
Classic in 1980) and the first Senior PGA Tour event (the Senior Roundup in 1987). The setting is challenging and charming, with three lakes and a lot of mature palms, pines and weeping willows. Water comes into play on eight holes, and even though it's fairly easy to walk, there also are some nice elevation changes.
