One of a kind place. Buffalo Chip is the only place in the entire Southwest where you can enjoy live professional bullriding in a venue of this type. Great music and bullriding two nights a week. The place where the real cowboys go.

Greatest Saloon !. The decor and scenic setting makes the Buffalo Chip 1 of a kind, the band is the Pat James Band. Know for putting out all the effort every show. If the place is full or not. The show is always wonderful to listen to and dance to. There is no place like the Buffalo Chip and many of us love to Dance at the Chip and listen to Pat James Band. If this Saloon was to close it would be extremely missed by all present customers and sad for those who never had a chance for the experience. The Saloon is Western Heritage, isn't that what Cavecreek is about? The owner maintains the buildings and property well. He seems to add something every year that all enjoy and he stands firm on maintaining Heritage of the West. I often bring vistors from back East to the Buffalo Chip they all love it and remember it well and often purchase Pat James Band CD'S to keep the Cavecreek experience near to heart. Hope the City of CaveCreek stops Hassling them some day, we don't want to lose the Buffalo Chip and our favorite country band. If you love country music do yourself a favor and get yourself a couple of Pat James Band cd's. You can buy them at the Saloon. I never had a bad meal or a bad time at the Chip and I am a 13-14 year customer. Oh Yeah ! Pretty Cowgirls to Dance with is another great plus.

The bar in back in called the "shack in the back" in a cozy place to go on a Sunday afternoon. The front bar buffalo chip is nice but I like the back bar for its cozy atmosphare good food and the great bartender, Joy.
