Food & Dining > Mimi's CafeDenise at the bar is the best waitress. She has served me 3 times and is on top of things. My water glass is constantly filled. She is very precise with my orders. She is at the Glendale Location.
Atmosphere rules at this French New Orleans-themed spot that serves traditional American fare..
In Short
Decorated like a French country bistro with jazzy New Orleans overtones, Mimi's Café was named after a lost love of Arthur Simms, who started the restaurant in 1978 in Anaheim, Calif., with his family. The ambience could only be upstaged by the menu filled with traditional American favorites. Breakfast includes omelets, waffles, muffins and fresh-squeezed juices, while lunch and dinner feature comfort-food classics like pot pie and pot roast, deli-style sandwiches, burgers, pastas, steaks and salads.
Great OJ. For breakfast this place rules. I adore their freshing squeezed orange juice, it is sooooo good. This isn't a bad place for dinner either, but I have yet to discover lunch there, but I'm sure it's as good as everything else I've tried. They serve big portions so bring a healthy appetite.
Consistently great food. I have been to this particular Mimi's cafe many times, and I have never had a bad experience. Food is always good and wait staff always pleasant.
Great Omlettes.
We just moved here from Portland, OR and are on the hunt for our breakfast spot. This past weekend we tried Mimi's in Glendale. It might not be our spot (only because they serve pink potatoes instead of hashbrowns) but they serve on great omlette. They are huge and fluffy. An additional bonus was your choice of muffin that comes included in your meal, and a small juice. Made a huge meal and priced just right.
We will come back for sure, just not every weekend cuz we really like our hashbrowns!
sooo good. Mimi's is so so so good. I used to go to Mimi's in Tucson when I was in college. I was happy to find out that Mimi's in Phoenix was basically the same. The food is good, the restaurants have a nice, calming decor. It's a great place to take a date, or just go hang out with friends and family.
Goot Eats. I have been to three different Mimis Cafes & they have all been good experiences. There are many things to choose from(all good). The service has always been excellent and the staff very friendly. One time I tried something new & didn't like it. When the server asked me if I didn't like my meal( I only took 2 bites), I said, "I didn't care for it. I usually eat the same thing, but it was my fault. There was nothing wrong with it". The server immediately appologized & took it off the bill, after offering to get me something else. What a great place! The portions are big and the prices are good.
