Trerrible Customer Service

I trusted them at one time but discovered they are scammers. Check the place out, that is the quality of work you'll get! You'd be comfortable though if you live in a trailer, or like trash. In addition, I've spent over $4000 in work there in the past year as each of daughters have new beetles, and they still treat my like s..t. I had a complete A/C replacement done in August of 2008. The A/C stopped working in March this year and I took it back to them and they basically told me the compressor was warranted for 90 days so you are s..t out of luck. Just like that. I would never, ever go back to that dump they call an automotive repair facility.

Customer beware

I don't know who posted the five-star review, but my experience has been more like SamVW's. I went to them because I did not know anyone in town and the people at BAP Auto Parts recommended them. My overall experience has been disappointing to say the least. Although my vehicle seems to be doing okay right now, I found the non-moving parts were not put together fully and well after a job on the motor. The oil was WAY overfilled (this can break out the oilcooler seals, but each person there seems to have a different opinion on the issue, and the manager confidently denies that they overfill beyond the max mark), and their billing is most unprofessional. Not only were charges included for jobs I had specifically been given to understand were not chargeable, but I was not even informed; and there was billing of work and parts not done on the vehicle at all. While I did get a refund of the last mentioned, I got rough treatment on the uninformed charges in the absence of the manager, and made to pay without the warranty that was supposed to be issued to me. If you must go to this place, please make sure you interact personally with the manager before you entrust the vehicle to them, and insist on your estimates of charges. However, also know that he has more confidence in his mechanics than is warranted. I for one would not go there again.

Do not go here!

Please do not go here, find another VW shop its worth a further drive! I had a blown head and I took my car here for the first time, it was a horrible experience! The first time I had to take it there they let my car sit out side all day with the key in the ignition. Then they replaced the head and did not assemble my engine correctly! There where missing nuts and bolts and large pieces of metal housing that were vital to my engine and engine compartment! When I came to pick up my car they had locked my keys in the car even after I told them to leave it unlocked. I then had them tow it back to assemble the engine correctly. During all of this they would not keep me informed on the progress of my car, but would call me a half hour before they closed to tell me that my car was all finished. After I picked up my car I noticed that it was leaking oil more than ever. They did a poor job with the valve gasket replacement, and I believe they even bent the valve cover. I decided to take it to another shop just to have it checked up on. The shop then told me that Carroll's did not adjust the timing and the spark plugs were so loose that they could have fallen out of the motor within a few days. So please I urge you to take your precious VW elsewhere because I know that you will be very dissatisfied with the care and service that you will get from Carroll's VW. Please do not go to Carroll's VW!
