I usually order any entree with shrimp because they have the large, succulent shrimp that are so good !! The food is always piping hot even after I spend 15 minutes driving home to Mesa. The Happy Platter is a perfect appetizer for two people to share and the lunch specials can't be beat !! It's a lot of food for $5.25 !!
Bad experience , not going to order again.
I will not order from here. They must have this machine line mentatilty here. Heck my order was placed at 1:30 in the afternoon, so there would not be a big rush.
1) Food was packed poorly. I ordered two lunch entrees and one spilled in the other
2)The crab puffs were burnt, They told me I had to drive to get the crab puff exchanged. Why would they turn out bad food? Could they not see that it was burned?
3) To make matters worst the egg roll tasted so awful.
4) They can' t follow directions or use mapquest.
worst chinese "food" I have ever consumed.
I have not idea how this place is still open. I can handle it when food smells bad, but when it tastes bad, I can't take it.
I do not know what the deal it - but even the the vegetables are gross. The beef and chicken are inedible.
I am not exaggerating, the worst take out I have ever eaten.
Great food and great price. I have been coming to Pong Pong for at least 5 to 6 years and I have never been disappointed. The food is great and always fresh, there is barely any wait time if you go to eat there or just pick it up, and the price is better than anywhere else in Phoenix. You get so much food that it will definitely fill you up and most people probably wouldn't be able to finish it all. Delivery time also isn't that bad because when they aren't really busy I can get my food in about 20 or 30 minutes. If they are busy it can take longer but still faster than most places. I love the Lo Mein, Pong Pong chicken, mongolian combo, chef chicken, and the chicken with mushrooms. Oh, I love a lot of different things there. I'm definitely a regular. This is one of the best kept secrets that I have found since moving to Phoenix.
Best Chinese Food By Far. This is the best Chinese food in the Valley. My friends and I eat at Pong Pong every week. Delivery time is usually 30-45 minutes. Like all restaurants, delivery is slower when it's busy. The food is always fresh and the best quality. I know friends who drive miles out of their way for the Chinese food because they are out of the delivery area! Most dishes are white meat and they are very flexible with substitutions. Highly recommended!
the worst chinese food in the Valley hands down. Pong Pong has been steadily going downhill in the past 6 months, last nights delivery was 1 hour, food was packed poorly, pepper steak beef seemed like from a can - disgusting sauce, vegetable chow mein noodles were overcooked - veggies from freezer or can, lemon chicken breading poor, no lemon flavor - had 2 lemon wedges stuffed on top, no chopsticks to boot. Stay clear for own good!
Awesome Chinese finally. This is my favorite Chinese restaurant here in arizona. I would rather order from here and take home than go to a nice restaurant with lots of ambiance but no taste. This is as close to China town San Francisco that I have found in 20 years. I think I have been a loyal customer for almost 11 years now. Make sure you try their pot stickers. They make those by hand the way they are supposed to be done. Not frozen like those nice Chinese restaurants with all the ambiance
User review by justafoodlover. They were very quick in making our food and setting it up so we could take it home. Friendly service, quick and simple chinese food-even late at night.
Quick cheap food. When entering the restaurant, I quickly thought, "uh-oh, this may not have been a good idea." The reason for the trepidation was that the inside of the place was a dive. You order at the front, and even though we ate there, they handed us our food in to-go containers at the counter. As long as you aren't coming here for a nice dine-in experience, you will be very pleased. The food was excellent, and price was very cheap. There are not many vegetarian options, but there were a multitude of shrimp, chicken, and beef options, and we were very satisfied with the food quality and taste.
good and cheap. If you're looking for good, basic, inexpensive chinese take-out then this is the place to go. The service is quick and there are several vegetarian choices.
