University Animal Hospital is a complete small animal veterinary facility and a full-service boarding and grooming facility. Located in
Tempe, University Animal Hospital was est. in 1962. It is the 2nd oldest veterinary practice in the entire east valley. The hospital moved to a new building in 1996 for which it won a national award due to how its specifically designed and constructed to facilitate better care of small animals. Our boarding facility includes 157 dog suites (indoor & outdoor) & 48 cat condos (indoor) available for owners to entrust their pets with us when they are away.
In addition to spaying, neutering, micro-chipping, pet vaccinations, pet declawing and other veterinary services, University Animal Hospital offers many specialty services such as laser surgery, dentistry, endoscopy, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and EKG. We also have an exotic/reptile Veterinarian on staff.

I love this Vet hospital!! I have been going here for 15 yrs and all of my pets are very well cared for! I have seen many of the Veterinarians there and they all are compassionate and obvious animal lovers!! I have used the boarding area as well and find it to be clean and the staff very detail oriented! When I come in for a visit the staff up in the front are nice and friendly...I could not imagine going any place else...this vet hospital has been there for me through so much and because of them my pets are happy and healthy!!!…
I recently completed a 2-week
externship as a veterinary student at University Animal Hospital in Tempe and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this hospital! The clinic has
state-of-the-art equipment and they are very up-to-date on how they approach and practice medicine. The 11-doctor practice has everything that I hope to find in where I will eventually work and is the epitome of where I would take my animals (in fact, it is very reminiscent of the clinic I take my pets to at home in Minnesota). Everyone is incredibly friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. The doctors work as a team and in the best interest of their patients by discussing their cases with each other, whether they would like an additional perspective or would simply like to share what they learned.
The hospital is immaculately clean, well cared for, and employs only those individuals who obviously love animals and their job. I was thrilled to see everyone doing their specific job to their utmost capability, which helps create a highly efficient, well-oiled â??machineâ?? where everyone can focus on and excel in their field. Everyone at University Animal Hospital works very well together as a team and invited me in to their â??familyâ?? immediately. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone searching for the right place to care for his or her furry (or scaly) non-human family members!…

Absolutely the best Veterinary practice I've ever experienced!
Great Service!. I have recently boarded my puppy here at UAH! Such a great service. I am very impressed with the wonderful care they gave my dog, I would definitely use them again in the future.
