i have question. how much do they charge ive never been there and i want to go it looks like so much fun ive only rode on a horse once and it was a great expierence
Great place to ride, BUT....... Recently went riding here with my girl friends and it was a great place. There is a park to ride across the highway where you feel like you are riding in the wild west. The trail guide Clay is great as he has been riding his whole life. one fo the owners, also named Clay, still has a lot to learn about horses and a ranch. He is limited in his ability to pair the right horse with the right rider and his personality needs some adjusting so he is more people friendly. Overall, the place is really great, but just dont let Clay the owner pick your horse. The place is really worth visiting to ride.
Best ride in the City. This was such a great ride for our family. Our girls loved their horses and wanted to take them home. The staff and horses were friendly and took good care of us. The ride was nice and gave the kids an idea of what it would have been like to move at a more relaxed pace of life. This was affordable, and a treat compared to going to the mall. Next time we go, I will bring some carrots, so I can tip the horse as well as our guide!
Best ride in the City.
This was a great for our family! The girls loved thier horses, and wanted to take them home. It was nice to get the feel of trail riding at the best price I found, and without having to drive out of the city. The horses and staff were friendly, and my grils had a great time riding. Since I called ahead, they were ready for me, and there was no wait at all.
This is a great alternative to going to the Mall or the movies. I will go again, and bring carrots for the horses! This way, I can tip my guide and my horse!
Great for kids!. My sister and I took my niece riding for her birthday and had so much fun! Being only 8 years old, my niece was nervous at first but they put her right at ease and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. The staff was super-friendly, even taking pictures of her on the horse and emailing them to us later when we forgot our camera. I would absolutely go back there again and highly reccomend them to anyone looking for something different on a leisurely Saturday morning, or a memorable event for the kids!
The worst horseback ride I have had..
When going horseback riding in AZ people need to know that most stables will not allow you to do anything but walk. Most of the rides are walk only, nose to tail. If you are going for the scenery and don't care about the ride then you might like it.
I made the mistake of doing on a ride one morning with my husband. Boy have the stables changed over the years. Years ago they used to let you trot, even canter a bit and you did not even need a guide. I was given a 30 year old horse-no joke-I asked the lady how old the horse was and she said 30-even though I told her I was an intermediate rider.
We talked the whole time. Boring. What is the point of asking people their riding experience, and having them sign a waiver, if the horses have one hoof in the glue factory, and they walk only? We paid 20.00 an hour to walk. Huge disappointment. Needless to say she got no tip.
