This converted 1920s bungalow provides a romantic backdrop for an eclectic menu. A large outdoor fireplace serves as the centerpiece of the grapevine-covered patio, and a number of cozy tables are located within the house's brightly colored rooms. A variety of fresh fish dishes are available paired with sides such as fragrant jasmine rice or saffron-infused potatoes. Save room for desserts like mild chocolate cake punched up with mousse-like cinnamon-chocolate frosting.

Located in two combined houses in the heart of Tempe, the setting is elegant with indoor and outdoor seating. The dinner dishes contain some unusual ingredients -- I've had to ask for explanations from the helpful staff. They're famous for their wine cellar and tastings.

This restaurant is modern continental. The appetizers and deserts are some of the best in the valley of the sun. The menu changes several times a year. You never know what you will find on the menu. The lamb and seafood are always wonderful. They cook the items to the exact doneness requested. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with heaters and a fireplace for the winter and a misting system in the summer. It is located just east of downtown Tempe. The outdoor bar is a great place to come and have some finger food and a drink. There is no pressure to leave. A great neighborhood hangout.

this place is the worst ever - our food was undercooked and disgusting. the service was terrible - very rude and unresponsive. go here if you want to have a terrible evening. house of tricks shouldn't be on any "romantic" restaurants list.
