Editorial Review for Four Peaks Restaurant – by Nikki Buchanan

In Short
The good news about microbreweries: They're great for serious beer drinkers. The bad news about microbreweries: They're often not great for serious eaters. Four Peaks, housed in an old brick warehouse built in 1892, is the exception to that rule. This cavernous spot calls itself the largest brewery in Arizona (brewing 10 styles in all, some of which change with the seasons), and it also cooks up simple, well-prepared pub grub.

This our favorite place to eat, bar none. Most often we share a pitcher of "Hefe" and order a Chicken beer bread or the Arizona Chicken Rolls. If ordering the former, ask for a side of the sweet jalepeno sauce for dipping your fries. The delicious sauce comes standard with the chicken rolls. Other outstanding dishes include the mediterranean pizza which has a delicious blend of chicken, spinach, ricotta cheese and pine nuts. (the sweet jalepeno goes great with this too.) The only dish I've not enjoyed was the tenderloin sandwich, but probably because I'm not a huge fan of blue cheese We've tried the Hefeweizen @ at least 1/2 dozen other locations and nothing compares. . Now, if only they'd bring a location to Fountain Hills. : )

Pros: Hefeweizen, service, outdoor seating, excellent menu

Cons: Not much parking, but the walk isn't too bad.

I love four peaks because their food is surprisingly good. service is usually pretty good too. In the winter you should arrive during off peak times because you don't want to get stuck sitting outside. I know, they have the heaters, but if you're a girl, hey you get colder than your guy friends so make them seat you inside! Specials are great, someitmes they are out of the specials though.

Pros: Good food, fast service, and the inside is non-smoking

Cons: Sometimes you have to park down the street. Cold outside in winter.
