Best bargain on Mill.
Loved this place. My husband and I were in town for a football game so we tried many restaurants. This was the best bargain but more importantly the best food. We both had gyros (which were great), I had a greek salad that was excellent , and both had a glass of wine all for $30. We had spent well over $50 at other restaurants on Mill for bad pub food. Also the service was great even though they were quite busy and the servers were very enthusiastic!

Large portions great price.
This place is fantastic. We go when ever we can. Service is also quick and every one very friendly. I always try to order something different as I love it all. Though I?ve never heard of flaming Galatobouriko, it was still pretty good! The location is pretty good and we enjoy the people watching on Mill as much as the food! If you like Greek food this place is a must!

Delicious Gyros and Salads!.
My dad and I were visiting Phoenix and the concierge at our hotel recommended this restaurant to us. Our friends who live in Phoenix told us that they tried it before and loved it so we decided to check it out. The location of the restaurant is great. Being situated right next to ASU, Mill Ave was packed and busy. I ordered the Gyro Pita Wrap and fell in love with it! I've been to Greece before and the food at the restaurant is just as good as food you'd find in a little taverna in Athens. The baklava was also to die for! I've had baklava before that was overly sweet and this one was just right. My mouth is watering just thinking about it now! My dad and I went back the following day because we just couldn't stop thinking about it and we shared the Greek Salad (which is the best I've had), pita and hummus dip, and steamed mussels. Everything was excellent! I'm so bummed that there isn't a BFGR in LA, I loved it!!!

I Tried It Twice (tastes great, but an hour later...).
The food tastes great, and the portions are large, but I had an upset stomach within an hour afterward. This happened 2 months ago, and once again tonight, so I decided that I would take the time to warn people. I generally have a stomach of steel, so it's unfortunate (I won't return).

wasn't impressed..
The food seemed to be a little less than authentic. The spanakopita seemed bland, saganaki was SALTY, VERY salty. This was a gorgeous restaurant with personality, just lacked good recipes.

Large portion, litte cost.
We got to MBFGR for lunch regularly and love it. The gyro and greek salads are plenty for lunch without a side, and they are priced around $5. The atmosphere is cool, and the patio at the Mill ave location is partialy air conditioned.

If you love Greek, go here!.
I'm spoiled, having been raised on a choice of many fine Greek restaurants in Chicago. On a recent visit to My Big Fat Greek Restaurant, I was brought back to old Chicago. The portion sizes were huge and all the food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Vibrant Greek taverna serves up flaming saganaki and pyrotechnic baklava..
In Short
With locations in Tempe (the original), Chandler, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley, these entrepreneurs are building their own Greek empire in Arizona. On the menu, traditional specialties: hummus, souvlaki, lamb, moussaka, spanikopita and a gyros plate that can feed two or more. Pizzas, burgers, barbecue, steaks and seafood are also available. Saganaki (flambeed cheese) and flaming baklava make for a dramatic start and finish to meals.
