Dirty Dirty Dirty,. We have been going to this macayo's for some time now as of late every where you look there is thick dust and dirt. the booth we were seated in had food on back of bench also the menu had dried salsa crusted on it. The men's restroom was just cleaned, the bleach smell was so strong my eyes burned and the handle on urinal was still so dirty I refused to touch. This macayo's food is still great, but let's hope the health inspector does not come in or they may be closed.
Awesome Food. Arizona is home to some great Mexican food restaurants Someburros, and Tia Rosa’s to name a few. I’ve tried out most of them and decided to give Macayo’s Mexican Restaurant a try. The service was the only negative thing about our experience there. We walked in and were immediately greeted by a server and we got seated right away. I liked the unique atmosphere inside, you almost feel like you’re in some kind of jungle. A few minutes later our chips and sauce arrived. I was very impressed by the taste of both, but the salsa was lacking. It was very runny with no chunks of tomato or onion; overall though, very good so far. A while later we were asked to order. I ordered the Bean Baja burrito. It was a fried burrito served with white Baja sauce on top with a side of beans, and small salad. As I was waiting I was thinking how delicious my burrito would be. We kept eating the chips and salsa until 30 minutes later, when our food finally came out! Honestly, I wasn’t that hungry anymore because of the salsa. However, this burrito was great! It was crisp and tasted awesome. The Baja sauce complimented the rest of the burrito fantastically. Overall, Macayo’s is a great restraint, but avoid going if you are looking for a quick lunch or dinner, because the service will hold you up a bit. All in all, I will be returning very soon.
The best. Depot cantina is like rocky point. They have the hottest girls and A 2.00 dos xx bottle all the time wow there food is amazing and its free during hour you can't beat it I go three days a week. Take the light rail its the best macayo I have ever been too
FUN !!!!! Great atmosphere and friendly service.. We went with a group of 10 people to Depot Cantina and had one of the best nights ever. The serve (LIZ) had a great attitude and was very helpful with the ones in the group who weren't familiar with the menu. The Chicken Chimi with BAJA sauce was outstanding.

In Short
Along Central Avenue, Macayo's stands out as the structure seemingly built by ancient Aztecs. The inside continues with the traditional decor in vibrant colors and accented with festive Mexican music. Regulars find Macayo's as a great place to unwind, especially with its free buffet and discounted drinks. The menu features traditional Mexican entrees and the bar is fully-stocked, especially with Mexican beer and tequila for their noteworthy margaritas.
Mediocre food at its Mediocre-est. acayos claims to have invented the chimichanga. So do a lot of other places, so take that with a grain of salt. The food is just OK, its really nothing special. I wont beat around the bush: this is gringo chow. Theres nothing particularly flavorful about it. Bring your relatives from Ohio, because anything more exciting might cause hysteria in people unaccustomed to truly excellent Mexican fare.
Great!. I held a client event here for about 175 people and Macayo's did an excellent job in accommodating my group with thier excellent service & Margarit Waterfall!
Fun. Great place to go and drink. Free food at happy hr M-F and if you buy a senior bob mug $3 giant margritas!
