Shocking. Judge Wendy Morton said the prosecutor proved that hospital vice president Susan Livengood, Patricia Crellin, a psychiatrist, and Shelley M. Van Vianen, a nurse practitioner, were guilty of a misdemeanor for failing to report in a timely manner an alleged sexual abuse of a 23-year-old stroke patient.

The three women, still employed by the hospital, face fines of up to $2,500 and up to six months in jail. A sentencing hearing will be scheduled within 30 days, Morton said.

Charges against a fourth employee, a rehabilitation coordinator, were dropped last week.

Prosecutor Caron Close said in her closing argument that the hospital workers failed the patient and violated a state reporting statute.

The three women sat motionless as Morton read her verdict. They were unavailable for comment.

What a joke reviews from people who must have not worked here. Never in all my life have I ever seen suchBIGOTS! God help you if your black, Hispanic or they might think you could possibly be gay. They hire token minority employees and then destroy their reputations and slander them. Repeated trips to HR will do you no good here, The EEOC settled 7 cases in 11 month with these jerks. The CEO Tom Sadvary is a complete tool as is the security managers Lyle Smith and Frank Kroll all down south boys. I should have sued this company when I could and still may just do that for what the did to me. Put employees up to making fake postings of me on gay sites even used my personal email address just because they thought I may have been gay. NOT ! Security Dept is a joke should all be fired after a woman WASraped at their other campus and was covered up. Glad they were criminally charged for that and had to do time. An employee at Shea WASraped and that was brushed under the rug as well. This is an unsafe place to work or be a patient in my opinion, you sure don't want to work here that's for sure. Oh unless your Aredneck straight white guy.
