Fantastic!. Easily one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. Of course, the food is great as well as the wine. The service is also superb and the cozy space allows for a very relaxing meal.

Outstanding Italian. This is by far our favorite local Italian restaurant. My husband always asks the waiter to recommend a dish, and he has never been disappointed. Their best dishes are pasta with seafood. On Mother's Day, they gave all moms a free dessert! Great food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff . . . what more could you want???

Good food - terrible reservation system. I made a reservation by phone (this past Dec 20, 2007) for Friday, Dec 21st at 7pm The reservation system is a "leave your name, party, time/date of reservation and phone#" - "we'll call you back if there is a problem" - I followed the instructions as I have on many past reservation requests. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was told there was no reservation. When I explained that I had not received a phone call to that effect, I was told by the hostess that there was nothing that could be done. Most classy restaurants would at least invite you to wait and have a glass of wine....no such hospitality here. Unfortunately, there is no way to check on a reservation as they all go to voice mail. While I have always enjoyed Casa Mia's food and service, they need to improve their reservation system. I'll not be returning until this happens and, as I live in the neighborhood, I'll recommend that all my friends do the same.

Pretty close to the real thing, and quite good!. I was pleasantly surprised to find relatively authentic Italian food here. Simple pasta dishes done right. Excellent service and great wine and desserts. The tomato sauce, Chianti and olive oil were delicious (in my book, those are at the top of the list for truly good Italian fare). Not to mention the espresso - a perfect pull, flavorful, not bitter, just right. If you have a discerning palette, then this is a great place to eat. Small venue, good for couples, casual dinner as well as family or special occasion. The location is pretty far outside of Phoenix, Tempe and South Scottsdale, but well worth the trip. If you live out there, lucky you.

I did not have salad or any main course (meat/fish), so I cannot comment on that.

Mrs. We visit Scottsdale 4 to 5 times per year and always make a point of eating at Casa MIA Ristorante Italiano. They always greet us with a smile, remember what we enjoy drinking and often suggest something we have not tried before. We invariably enjoy the food suggested. Since they moved into larger quarters, the seating is not quite so tight. The service is superb, the food delicious and prices are reasonable for what you get. It is one of our favorite restaurants. Weekends are sometime very busy, so eat early or make reservations several days in advance.

Fantastic Food. We have visited this restaurant a half-dozen times. The food has always been superb! The ambience reminds us of visiting Florence, Italy. The waiters have always been friendly and they have gone out of their way to seat us even though we usually don't have a reservation. (I would recommend one if you can!)

If you are unclear what wine to order, just ask. Their house red is fantastic!
