One of a Kind. The Melting Pot is an excellent choice for a restaurant, though only if one has the patience and time to sit down for a few hours. The meal is made right in front your, and when it comes down to it you are the one truly making it. This is a great place to go for an evening out with friends or family. The atmosphere is comfortable, quite, and relaxing. Each course has a variety of selections and flavors to choose from, though not every individual in the group will get to pick their own since groups share.

A specific dish to note would be an entrée called The French Quarter. This dish includes filet mignon, chicken breast, and shrimp; they are seasoned with Cajun spices. The meat is served to you raw, because you will be the one doing the cooking. All entrées also arrive with fresh vegetables. To cook your items you choose a cooking style, which is a type of broth that will go into the fondue bowl at your table. The style, which will be discussed, is the Mojo Style. This Caribbean-seasoned bouillon with garlic and citrus alone smelt delectable. This combination was spicy, so if one does not care for spicy food they should consider a different meat selection that is not seasoned this way. Though if one does enjoy something spicy and flavorful this would be the perfect combination. The meat was fresh and the spices from both the seasoning and the Mojo broth came together and created a delicious and unique taste. The Melting Pot is also reasonable towards special orders. If one does not like a specific combination of meats in a dish they can substitute it out for a different one. An array of dipping sauces are also given with the entrée to add yet even more flavor and the sever will explain what each one is. The server also instructs you on how to cook your food correctly. They are knowledgeable about the menu, kind, and well mannered.

The Melting Pot serves appetizing cheese fondues, entrées, and chocolate fondues. Before going it should be noted that for a full meal it will take a few hours, party size also affects this. This is a formal dinner setting and young children should not be brought along. The hot stovetop on the table and the time it takes are ample reasons enough. Reservations should be made no matter the party size. The prices are expensive, but the food is high quality, the service is wonderful, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is something to note about the price. The Melting Pot is a fabulous restaurant and if one is looking for a unique dining experience this is the place to go.

A Truly Unique Experience. Upon entering I noticed that the restaurant had a romantic and elegant feel to it. The hostess seemed glad to greet us and happily led us to our table. The server greeted us by name and made a few suggestions as far as beverages. He was very knowledgeable which was extremely helpful when choosing what we wanted to eat. (Their menu was a bit complicated.) We decided to go for “The Big Night Out” which was a four course dinner for two that included a cheese fondue appetizer, salad, the main course with your selection of meats and cooking sauce, as well as dessert.

The first course was the appetizer. It included a blend of three cheeses; goat, parmesan, and fontina all blended with a white wine garlic sauce. This was accompanied by a plate full of various types of bread, vegetables, and granny smith apples all cut into bite size pieces. At first I thought that the apples were a funny mixture among the breads, except when I dipped it in the cheese sauce. The sweetness from the apple and the garlic tartness of the cheeses were absolutely delicious together!

The second course was the salad. It was a mixture of baby greens with fresh cut roma tomatoes and slices of fresh mozzarella, all topped with an Italian balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The greens were crisp and light; the romas were perfectly ripe and were an excellent complement to the mozzarella. All these ingredients combined with the balsamic dressing made for a perfect sweet and sour combination.

The main course followed consisting of three types of marinated meats. They were chicken, filet mignon, and lobster tail. These were also cut into bite size portions and were raw. The vegetables came on another plate and included baby carrots, fingerling potatoes, and bite size asparagus, these were also raw. The cooking sauce was Caribbean bullion and had hint of garlic in it. Next we actually cooked the meat and vegetables in the sauce. There were also various dipping sauces for each of the meat portions. Such as cocktail sauce for the lobster, honey mustard for the chicken, and horseradish sauce for the filet mignon. The filet mignon was so tender it practically melted in your mouth, the cooking sauce made the chicken and lobster very moist as well. The rich warm flavors of the vegetables paired with a glass of Napa Valley Merlot brought the whole meal together nicely. It was so much fun cooking it as well!

The final course was dessert. We chose a chocolate fondue. It came with an assortment of desserts that included: bite size portions of pound cake, cheese cake, brownies, marshmallows, rice krispies treats, strawberries, and bananas. The chocolate was smooth and creamy. The pound cake, cheesecake, and brownies were baked to optimum moistness. The strawberries and bananas were perfectly ripened. Dipped in the chocolate... Need I say more? I think it was THE best dessert I’ve ever had!

It's hip to dip at this cozy fondue-lover's paradise.. In Short
Booths equipped with tabletop fondue pots are clustered together inside the intimate dining room. Start with a cheese fondue, including an assortment of breads, veggies and fruits for dipping. Entrees include lobster, center-cut filet, fish, chicken and vegetarian selections served with a variety of dipping sauces. For dessert, try the flaming turtle, a mix of chocolate and caramel flambéed tableside, served with nut-covered marshmallows, fresh fruit, pound cake, brownies and cheesecake.

Best Restaurant Experience of my life!!!!. The MeltingPot in Scottsdale Arizona is the best restaurant I have ever had the pleasure to dine in. The food amazing, the concept fun and creative, and the service is unbelievable. When we arrived in the restaurant we were nicely greeted by the host stand. The hostess Blair greeted us with a smile and congratulated me on my Promotion. WOW! How did she know about it? On the way to the table the host Adam kept a wonderful funny conversation with us. We even had a congratualtions card along with a picture frame and balloons waiting on the table for us. Once at the table he said our server would be Josh and he would be right over to take care of us. Once again being congratulated on my promotion he departed the table. Moments later Josh approached the table and took us through the fondue experience. Through out this experience multiple staff members stopped by and congratulated me on my promotion. The managers Jason, Harrison, and Candice were all especially nice-all holding wonderful conversations with us. And Harrison even used his extensive wine knowledge to turn us onto a wonderful bottle of wine. With our meal coming to a close and us paying our check, we were wished a wonderful evening by all staff we passed on the way out and even was once more congratulated by Blair about my promotion. I have never had a better restaurant experience and I highly reccomend this restaurant for anyone who is celebrating a special occasion or just wants a Perfect Night Out!!!

Best Fondue Experience. I am taking my husband, as a surprise, to the Scottsdale, AZ location to celebrate Valentine's Day. This is our first time going to Scottsdale since they relocated. They are, by far, the most wonderful and romantic atmosphere in dining that we've had, to date. The food is awesome and the service is beyond impeccable. The people that work there have always been friendly and cheerful. I recommend it to others on a frequent basis. Two thumbs up!! We love you!!
