Reading and buying goods for your mind!. This Barnes and Noble fits its environment well. Not so much the perfect place to buy books, as there are plenty of other book stores. This place always seems to have events and readings, and they have the whole coffee shop and reading area thing going on too. This place, is more about college students hanging out than about books, which makes it different in a good way.

Established in 1873 and still thriving, this mainstream bookseller boasts almost 600 locations and does brisk online business as well. Ubiquitous and well organized, Barnes & Noble arranges its huge book selection in 22 user-friendly categories, from Art and Architecture to Romance and Travel. Stores host seasonal book signings and family-friendly "Storytimes." Many locations also offer music, movies and cafes that serve Starbucks coffee.
