desert oasis

beautiful hyatt regency near gainey village. amongst multi million dollar houses. very nice grounds with a lake and golf course near by. the pool area is HUGE! and during the summers they have movie night outside while you are swimming. very nice. and also on the weekends the have live entertianment in the main lounge. last time they had flamenco dancers from spain! great date place.

a beautiful hotel

this hotel isn't the most expensive hotel in scottsdale, but the senery is beautiful. rabbits are hoppinfg around the trails. the pool is very nice and the beach with sand is great for small children. plan to say a night when a beach movie is playing. the food is great and the brunch is exceptional. the staff is helpful, but it is hard to find a parking spot in the fternoon to night time. it is a very family friendly hotel. i highly recomend it.

Skip the Hyatt

I was extremely disappointed in the Hyatt. The room was not any better than a cheap hotel (the linens were better) Those 10 pools - 4 of them are 2 person cool-off pools around the spa. Most are interconnected water-ways - not 'pools.' Space at the pool was so limited that it is impossible to find a spot to sit. They treat locals badly. We were asked 3 times (at the pool) if we were guests and what our room number was. We could have stayed at the Hilton, gotten a suite, and had a lot more pool for out money for almost 1/2 what we ended up paying at the Hyatt.
