The layout includes extensive mounding and massive bunkering, as well as shot-making pushed to the edge. It's not for beginners, and even seasoned players will struggle when elements push the Raptor's claws into the attack position. At the same time, it's an awesome stretch of golf from the very first hole to the closer, a par-5 oddity that plays to a par-4 for professionals and par-5 for those who keep track of handicaps. It demands forced carries off the tee and exacting approach shots to well-bunkered greens occasionally guarded by water.

Took my father-in-law to play and the course was great. The only bad thing was we had to play cart golf, and during the AZ summers, that can be murder. Price is high, but understandable.

The Grayhawk Country Club has a really good restaurant. A menu with good selection the food is always good. A fun place to meet for a relaxing lunch.

The Grayhawk Golf Club is very beautiful. The food is good, I recommend eating there for lunch. The sandwiches are really good and reasonably priced. Ask to eat outdoors if the weather is nice the view is wonderful. The wait staff is friendly and efficient.
