Just thought it was funny that the review from 11/09/07 from donnatorres49 was actually submitted.

Here's the thing, Waves Salon is a nice place to go.... BUT, the downfall unfortunately is Donna, herself. She has a tendency to be rude and almost sees her "criticism" as friendly conversation. I don't know who is working at Waves currently, but I know Faye (nails) does great work and is a very sweet woman who takes her job seriously and does it with a great attitude.
Melinda was super nice, easy to talk to, the youngest one at the time I went there. Not sure if she is still there, but was creative and loved doing hair!
Now, Donna does have training, in fact, she went to shows in and out of state a lot to learn new things and get the latest product. However, her attitude does need an adjustment and she should realize that the way to keep clients is to be kind...not rude. The salon can be over-priced, but its in the heart of Scottsdale at 85254. I don't know that I would recommend Donna unless you are ready for someone to tell you what SHE doesn't like and do what SHE wants to your hair...which in some cases means making you look JUST LIKE HER!!!!!
It's not a bad salon, but you need to pick and choose who you see....they are all experienced and for the most part, friendly.…
Like the Manicures. I just moved to the area, and had been looking for someone to do my nails. I had walked by this salon a couple of times and finally made an appointment with Stacee. She did a great job with my nails. The salon is clean, great comfortable sofas in the waiting area and everyone was really friendly. I did not have time for a pedicure today, but am going back in the morning to get one. Can't wait.…
Really friendly. I had a great experience at Waves Salon in Scottsdale. Went in to check the place out, and one of the girls had some extra time, so I got a haircut. It turned out great. I actually like the place so much, that I am going to go back there real soon for a manicure and a facial. Parking was easy too.…
Fantastic and Friendly for Cuts, Color, Nails and Facials.
As the two previous reviews are old and dated, I think it is important to let everyone know how great this salon and day spa is. All of the ladies that work here are true professionals and perform
fantastic services. Donna and Stacee are great with cuts and colors, Faye does wonderful manicures and pedicures, and Anke gives the absolutely greatest facials I have ever had. The ladies are very welcoming, friendly and attentive to the clients needs. Last time, I was there on a Friday and had a nice glass of wine to decompress after a long week.
The location is great, and the strip mall the salon is located in, just got repainted into this beautiful mixture of deep caribbean colors. You cannot miss it. The salon motif is a beautiful and welcoming environment for both men and women with a twist on one of the owner's fascination with ancient Egyptian art and sculpture.…
Don't bother.. They are stuck up, it is overpriced, and they do a half-hearted job. This salon doesn't care about getting the proper training or how your hair looks as long as they're making money.
