Good, for country. A friend and I stopped by here last weekend and, while I'm not a fan of country, I must admit the place was a lot of fun. Very informal, with a nice crowd. I would have liked more food on the plate for the money but it was more edible than some reviewers have claimed. I'll be sure to go back!

The is alot of good and also alot of bad!!. Well, I used to work there as a server and I can honestly say for the most part the Bartenders are great and I still rave about the ribs, steak on a stick but that one special bartender needs some serious medication. For the most part it is not a place to pick up people but to people watch. I have had the best opportunites to meet some not just famous but nice people such as Vince Vaughn, Peter Billingsly (Christmas Story), Montgomery Gentry as well as those CRAZY DJ's from that ya might of heard of radio station KNIX. And yes still to this day when I walk in the regulars say "Hey is that the Dancing Waitress?"

Avoid totally. If you are looking for decent food you'd be better off looking in the garbage. DO NOT EAT HERE. Five of us ate here on 3 Aug. My wife ordered rare steak. It cost $20.00 or $25.00 and was maybe 6 oz of microwave gray material that did not resemble meat. The chicken was so over done it had no moisture and eating it remined my of theChevy Chase movie Christmas Vacation. Rememebr the turkey? My order of ribs were nearly charcoal and what animal species they came from is unknown to me. This place IS NOT inexpensive! The prices are outrageous for the (absolute lack of) quality...like pay me to eat here??? No Way! I hate chain restaurants, but Outback is so superior to this place it's like comparing diamonds to coal dust. On the positive side the service was good and if you want to get drunk, didn't care what you eat or what it costs, and want pick up someone and/or something, then this may be the place.

Saddle up for family fun at this cowboy restaurant, bar and dance hall.. In Short
Classic Western chow, cooked the cowboy way, fills the menu. Ribs are a favorite, steaks are also a popular choice and kids love the juicy burgers. Vegetarians--scarce in the Old West--will be hard-pressed to find a suitable meal. The bar opens onto a patio for romantic dining under the stars, and service is downright neighborly.

Country's best kept secret. I was recently introduced to Handlebar J. I love everything about it!!! The staff, band, and owner, Gwen, are all so hospitabable. After my first time in, everyone knew my name and drink, I felt like I was at Cheers.

arrogant no talent bartenders. As a patron of Handlebar J's it was unfortunate to witness the rudeness of the bartenders there. I have personally seen them telling a customer if he did not tip to get out of the seat so some one else could sit down that would tip. I know this customer personally and he has always been gracious to staff when being served however is it a requirement to tip after each drink ?I think not!! Lots of people tip at the end of the night when service is over with. I did watch this customer also previously tip the bartender with his beer order. It is unproffesional to tell a customer to tip you (period) The bartender also said it loud enough to be heard by me and embarass the customer. It was out of line if I was his boss I would fire him!!
