Fabulous Japanese Style Sushi!.
We visit whenever we are in the area.
This is the best sushi we've had short of a small sushi restaurant in Cupertino frequented by native Japanese.
The quality and freshness of their sushi is unmatched by anything we've had since moving away from CA.
Pricing is average for sushi and the quality is first rate making Sushi on Shea an excellent value.
Decor is elegant and attractive.
A definite MUST TRY!
Go once and you'll be hooked too.
Best Sushi in Scottsdale. This place has the best selection of Japanese food. This sushi bar has won more than its share of awards.
Very, very average. Unfortunately, Scottsdale has its fill of overpriced and very average sushi restaurants, and this is another one. Based on our experience you will pay quite a bit more than you should for a meal that is underwhelming. Don't expect much in terms of food, price or service.
Pricey but Tasty. I love sushi and this place is good. The atmosphere is relaxing, great for after work. It is alittle pricey so I just eat less.
Unprofessional Management. After an unpleasant dining experience (per City Search Policy, specifics of experience cannot be disclosed), I called the management team at Sushi on Shea to inform of my less than satisfactory experience and request that my specific concerns regarding my unpleasant dining experience be investigated by the management team. The management that I spoke to did not apologize for the terrible experience that I had after dining at the facility and did not agree to check on the food items that I addressed. The management team member also raised her voice and treated my valid concern as malicious and untrue. Specifics of the conversation will not be disclosed, but the overall tone of the conversation was completely unprofessional and upsetting. I would not recommend dining at Sushi on Shea.
Popular spot serves sushi aong with an extensive menu of cooked dishes..
In Short
Calling out an S.O.S on a major sushi craving? Sushi on Shea constantly satisfies hankerings for Japanese cuisine. For those who can't go the raw route, there's an extensive menu featuring Japanese specialties such as tonkatsu, tempura and Japanese noodles (hot and cold), as well as shabu-shabu and sukiyaki, prepared tableside. Signature dishes include albacore tataki and kiwi salmon.
Good lunch. Ordered one of the Bento Box combo's and a side of unagi. The unagi was fresh and delicious. The tempura crisp and hot - I was pleasantly surprised by the teriyaki chicken using a cut of breast meat rather than thigh. Overall, this was a good lunch at slightly higher price. I think it'd be worth trying the restaurant for dinner - it's decor lends more to an evening meal.
