Worst Treatment in Scottsdale. I recently took my daughter and her friend shopping for prom dresses. We live in Ahwatukee and drove 35 miles to Scottsdale to look at dresses. Upon arriving at Gussied Up of New York we were immediately treated like the movie "Pretty Woman" in the shopping scene. The owner/attendant was rude to the girls, who were certainly not inappropriate and to myself, stating that in the future, I need to make an appointment as she has many regular customers to wait on (as if I would ever go back!). The one customer that she had was leaving and there was no line forming out front on a Friday afternoon at 1:30 PM for her service. The girls were immediately disenchanted with the experience and didn't even want to try anything on. It must be nice to not need business! We subsequently went down the street to Roxanne's and were welcomed and treated like humans should be, at which time we proceeded to purchased two expensive gowns. I felt like maybe there was a camera close by and surely I was being taped for a "boiling point" type TV program. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANY SHOPPING!
