Best Spa in Phoenix. I was impressed by the number of services provided by the Centre of Well Being at the Phoenician. The grounds are amazing, lush and relaxing. I highly recommend that if you are in Phoenix you take advantage of the Phoenician and the great service their personnel offer!

Who rated this spa from Citysearch????. Oh please....look at the age of the reviews from people who have visited the Phoenician. They are 2 to 4 years old...the most recent in March is the most accurate. We live in Scottsdale and I've been to the Phoenician 6 times in the past year because my husband liked going there (he was new to spa treatments and I didn't want to discourage enthusiasm for spa-ing in you know what I mean). The Phoenician is in SERIOUS need of a remodel and with the exception of 1 or 2 people they have mediocre therapists at best (and one is a certifiable NUT case). The ladies locker room has only 3 outdated showers and an exposed jacuzzi that sits in the entryway of the main access door to the ladies tiny facility. The relaxation atrium; the only spot (other than a small, dark dining area) to wait for treatments closes down to guests when they have a twice daily hour long meditation class. You can't wait in the atrium and attend a partial class until time for your treatment because they don't want to disturb other attendees which is understandable if there was another suitable place to wait.

The whole spa needs to be reworked, expanded and updated to compete in this market. A 1980's spa doesn't come close to being enjoyable in 2006. I was finally able to break my husband away when we had a very bad experience with the crazy masseur (the Phoenician was very nice about our concerns over her behavior and apologized profusely while agreeing she was WAY out of line) but the damage was done and I was able to get my guy to try one of the spas I liked. He'll never go back to the Phoenician now that he has something to compare to.

There are numerous fabulous spas in Scottsdale and Phoenix. The spa at the Scottsdale Princess is truly first rate and the spa at the Hyatt at Gainey Village just completed a huge, beautiful, first class addition as well.

Don't waste your money at the Phoenician. If you know spas you are going to wish you'd gone elsewhere in this market.

Poor Value. Spa was rundown in locker rooms. Therapists were subpar. Overrated and expensive for service and facilities.

User review by pdoering. I have tried many spas in the area but I always come back to the Centre for Well Being at the Phoenician. There are larger more glamorous spas in the area however sometimes the service itself leaves something to be desired. The services provided at the Centre are always top notch performed by well trained experienced personnel. Besides, who couldn't use a session in the meditation solarium?

relax. I had the pleasure of having a full day at the Phoenician. (Wonderful gift - and my first experience with a spa!) The people were wonderful, and the services were great. They did (by mistake) charge my credit card. *They were supposed to charge the gift card. So there was a bit of a hassle with that, and it seems a bit expensive. But they treat you wonderfully.

peaceful. I was lucky enough to have a gentleman named Stacy. He was wonderful. I had him for all my treatments and would highly recommend him to anyone. I loved The Phoenician. Everyone was helpful. It was very relaxing and peaceful.

Soothing. The Center for Well Being is an experience everyone should taste at least once. This is the place where you will find the best massage in Phoenix. After that a dip in the multi-level pool and a nap in the meditation room will eliminate any stress demon that fills your soul.
