Split into two clubs, Anderson's has a large Top-40 dance floor in the front, and the Elbo Room, a smaller, black-lit, retro-alternative scene to one side. The Top-40 room attracts an early-20s to late-40s crowd of unpretentious revelers. The alternative side fills with leather-clad scenesters, gloomy goths and singles dancing alone as they mouth lyrics to classics by New Order and the Cure.

Hey I like dancing as much as any woman, but I also enjoy being able to move through a dance floor. They do play good music, especially on Saturday nights when they have all 80's stuff, but it gets packed. The other smaller side of Anderson's looks like a cave instead of a bar, of course, it is goth so what do I expect.
