"Best Spring Rolls Ever!!!!". A friend told me about this place, he goes there all the time, but this was the first time I went there. This place is very nice, I mean the place seems very fung shei. It's very deceiving if you stand outside and look at it from the outside. It is very spacious, and the decor is elegant and classy. I ordered the spring rolls wich was so tasty the lettuce and veggies were so fresh and it all had a crunch to it. It was served with this very tangy sweet sauce. It was great. I had the combination, wich was noodles and a mixture of beef shrimp and chicken. Everything was so tasty. The waitstaff was very courteouse and attentive. This place is great if you just want a nice lunch, but it is also could very easily be a great place for a night out, with a spouse or special friend. This place has a really nice bar area, this also has the potential to be a after work watering hole. Over all I definetly will return. I wil bring along alot of friends and family. This place has nice highback booth and the lighting is very intimate, or you could chose some of the larger areas with views of the flat screen TV's. I would definetly recommend. bon appetite!!!!!

Avoid Take-Out. In an effort to find a new favorite chinese restaurant in the valley, we went to Shanghai Palace. We read all the great reviews and were excited. Upon entering the place it was very clean and inviting. We decided on take out and placed our order. We were then told it would be 40 minutes! I couldn't believe it, I have never waited 40 minutes for take-out in a chinese restaurant in my life! Luckily we had our food in 25 minutes and were very happy about that. I ordered Chow Fun.... It was the worst Chow Fun I have ever had in my life. Every piece of chicken, veggie, and rice noodle tasted exactly like plastic. We also ordered a Thai dish, not a soup, but it was served in a soup container because it was 2/3 liquid and 1/3 substance. The smell in our apartment from the food was so extreme, even after throwing it all away, we had to light candles to overcome the horrible smell. We ended up picking up pizza instead... and will never go back to Shanghai Palace again.

Really serves up 'spicy' and flavorful food.. What do I have to do in order to get some 'really' spicy food in this town? I ask for it, I beg for it, and usually I just get a standard dish with a ton of dried cayenne pepper dumped on it... _sigh_

Now I know that all I have to do is go to Shanghai Palace and ask for 'Thai Spicy', sure I've heard those words before, and tried them myself... But this time I got exactly what I wanted... Food spicy enough to make my head spin and little beads of sweat form on my cheeks! Food that tastes so good that I keep wanting to eat more!

This meal... Pad Kra Pao, Fish - Thai Spicy... Next time I'll have to remember the fried bananas and ice cream.
