Phoenix boasts at least a dozen Thai restaurants, and Malee's is one of the most popular. Situated in the heart of downtown Scottsdale, this pretty-in-pink cafe feels both upscale and accessible. The menu offers the usual Thai specialties--satay, pad thai, curries, soups and noodle dishes--as well as a few unique selections that riff on Southwestern cuisine.

I never have had a bad meal here and I miss their location in Desert Ridge. I would give it 5 stars however because I was making a reservation for a group of 15 people, I was required to leave my credit card number. I then found out that my card was compromised and used locally. When I called the restaurant, I found out they just write the card number in their reservation book which is out for the entire staff to see or anyone walking by the hostess stand. When I asked if I was going to be compensated for this, I was given $13 off a $200 bill (that was after the discount and the free meal we had with a card that came in the mail). I felt that for all the trouble I have to go through canceling my card, etc. that I should have been compensated for more then $13. So if you have to give them a credit card to hold your table, make up a number!

I'm always impressed with Malee's. The food and service are both exceptional. I tried Thai dishes for the first time at Malee's on Main and I was instantly hooked. This is definitely the best place to get it! Nothing else compares.

I LOVE this place. I go there at least once a month and think their food is delicious. Service is great and the ambiance is very intimate and welcoming. I usually order the Thai basil chicken (from the lunch menu) over angel hair pasta. The sauce is rich and it is seriously addictive. I've also had a lot of items from their menu and haven't been disappointed by anything. High quality meats and spiced just right. Every friend I've taken there has gone back on their own! I read some of the other reviews for the restaurant and I think it is authentic and better than any other thai restaurant around here. This would be a good date place and is also unpretentious. On the weekends they often have a pianist there which is very cozy and nice. You won't be disappointed by Maylee's!
