Yummy All The Time!. I love dining at Sakana. The food is always super fresh, the staff is warm and welcoming and I have a great time there. I've been to this location, North Phoenix & Ahwatukee and all are great!

Best Sushi - Best value. Not one of those superficial over priced joints. Friendly, great value, excellent food. Best in Scottsdale. I also go to the one in North Phoenix.

Best Sushi in Scottsdale. If your looking for a little, quiet place with excellent sushi, this is the place to go. A friend first introduced this restaurant to me, I don't know, probably three years ago. Now, this is pretty much the only place my family and I will go to for sushi. This is definitely not a good place for little kids, but is a good place to go with family or introduce it to friends.

Extremly good sushi, Great Service, Great Price. This sushi is extremely fresh and very well prepared. The prices are very reasonable and the service is great.

Great sushi in a relaxed environment.. The first time I visited Sakana was at the Glendale location. I sat down at the bar and asked the sushi chef, Masa (forgive me if it is spelled wrong), what he would recommend. He made my bf and me delicious rolls that were not even on the menu. Great experience. I have since been to the Scottsdale location as well and can say that I am never disappointed. It is always crowded on a weekend night. The atmosphere is not pretentious and the decor is simple, but it still manages to be one of my favorite places to eat sushi. This is not a place to see and be seen, it is a place to get good sushi. I like RA and Sushi Brokers, but Sakana is a little more relaxed. I would go to Sakana any night of the week, I have to be 'in the mood' to go to RA and Sushi Brokers. Bottom line: good sushi, good price, and good people.

Underwhelmed.... I regret that this was not one of my favorite sushi experiences. This restaurant was recommended by a friend but my husband and I were disappointed. The service was clumsy and cluttered, the Maguro was still slightly frozen, the shrimp tempura in our shrimp tempura roll was cold - a sign that it was not freshly made for our order. The spicy tuna roll, and the Agedashi were good but didn't make up for what was lacking in the rest. The restaurant wasn't as cozy as I would prefer. Maybe it is just moving from San Francisco where delicious sushi restaurants are in every neighborhood, or maybe it's just that our expectations were too high. Either way we were not overwhelmed by the sushi at Sakana.

Great Japanese Number. This restaurant is great if you're looking for incredible Japanese food at incredible prices. The staff is really friendly and the restaurant is always clean.
