My wife and I ate there on Sunday, April 23. There was a twenty minute wait for dinner, about usual on the weekend. Decor is faux Mexican cantina. We were seated promptly after the wait and fresh chips and a slightly watery salsa were provided. The atmosphere is very family friendly and has a view of the Andersen artificial lake. My wife had the shrimp/pork combo fajitas and I had a red chili/machaca chimi. Both were served with ample sides of rice and refried beans and were very tasty. The draft Amber Bock and Dos Equis XX were fresh & cold. They were out of draft Modelo.

We split a flan for dessert, which was average. My wife also ordered flautas for next day lunch. We have eaten there many times over the twelve years Valler Luna has been open and the Sonoran food is consistently good. It is a bit less hot then I prefer, but does hit a happy medium for most people, There is outside deck seating and a nice bar area.

Best of Phoenix. I have repeatedly requested that my restaurants be removed from this web.site. The reviews allowed to be freely posted with no substantiation are brazenly mean spirited and obviously intended to defile our 27 year reputation for serving some of the best in the valley. In 2009 VL was voted best of phoenix. The Ahwatukee store was voted the best seven years in a row, as was the cave creek road store.

Tasty and Good Value. I eat at Valle Luna regularly, and I have to say that I've enjoyed every dish I've had there. The combination plates are an excellent value for the dollar, and the portions are plentiful, not to mention very tasty. My favorites are the chili con carne, the chicken enchiladas and the burros. The salsa is good but, as someone else pointed out, not at all hot. The view is good, and the service is, with few exceptions, very good.

Visit the Chandler location and ask for a seat on the patio over looking the water. I promise you a nice view, good food and a wonderful value for your dollar.

My favorite.... This is the best deal. I usually get a combo one. Shredded beef taco, cheese enchilada, tamale, rice and beans for less than $10! The flavor of their food is perfect. For me, it meets my taste bud requirements. Service is always prompt and courteous. My only, and I mean it, my ONLY complaint: They don't have a spicy enough hot sauce. I ask for the hottest thing they have, I tell them don't worry, I can handle hot. Always get a sauce that is less than Taco Bells "fire" sauce. Gotta pep this up guys! Add some heat and it would be perfecto.

Great place for friends. It was a nice a setting. Service was prompt, food was average. Not overcrowded.

The server made this place stand out.
