TERRIBLE SERVICE..don't go there!!!!.
On 3/7/09 my husband and I took friends to Cobbs Restaurant in Apache Junction.
The waitress that waited on us couldn't force a smile the whole time, but besides that, my friends toast was cold, so cold the butter was sitting on it not melted, his eggs were to be scrambled, and they came like fried broken eggs. My husband ordered all you can eat Spagetti, and it came in a small bowl. We couldn't get our waitresses attention while she stood holding the coffee-pot against the wall. I finally went and asked for more spagetti. After waiting 20+ minutes we got up and went to check out, and I told her it was taking too long so we were leaving.
At the register, we asked for a discount of the "all you can eat" spaggetti that we never got. The cashier gal said she would need the waitress to do that, because she had only worked there for 3 days and called her over. The waitress POUNDED on the key pad to make the changes, and knocked off 2.00s of the bill. When she left we asked the cashier what the waitresses name was and she told us (Mel....). She also told us the managers name was Ron..when asked. I called the Restuarant on Monday to report our service and asked for the Manager Ron. The lady said his name was Ray but wasn't in and I could talk to the Lunch manager Na..T). I told Na..T the story, and she asked where we were sitting. after telling her, she said, "I was the waitress that waited on you and Feelings are mutual" . I gasped and said, "You are the Manager??". She said, "yes, and the next time you come, don't sit in my section". I replied"There won't be a next time". and she hung up on me!! WOW folks, this should tell you something!
Afew years ago we went there and prices were good, waitress were nice and accomodating....they won't last now with Ms Na T around, and the food prices and food itself are not good.…
Restaurant is a pit - a joke in the area.
Gravy for bicuits is not homemade. It is straight out of the can. During past six month more than 20 AZ "Food Code" violations have been cited...including rodent infestation which is still clearly
present from the amount of feces on the front patio. No food warmers and thus food is often cold.
Since prior on-site manager (Ron) left the restaurant has gone steadily downhill since mid 2007. With Ron gone much of the "homemade" style items are adios.
Waitresses are uptight and bathrooms often overflow into serving areas. You might wait 20 minutes to get asked if you want coffee while employees stand around or the restaurant appears void of staff. Then there is the "ATTITUDE." Staff and mgmt can become defensive if people politely complain.
Been there many times and were recently embarrassed with an out-of-town guest as an employee (who said they had worked there many years) acknowledged that they had never actually seen the tables washed and disinfected or the salt and pepper shakers wiped clean.
Several exceptional employees who treat customers great and would be a welcomed addition to any employer who cares about their customers include: Misty, Adam, Amanda, Britany and Desiree. Seriously, family operates a multi-million dollar business in another state and I can tell you that these people mentioned here are exceptional - and sorely needed in the Apache Junction area by many businesses who claim that their customers are important.
Prices have sky-rocketed in the past two years. Some weekly breakfast items increasing by almost 100% (doubling) and forcing patrons to be in pairs with 2 for 1 coupons to obtain a meal competitive with other local establishments.
Want to be successful - open a competitive place right down the street and offer: Sincere and good service, reasonably priced food, and an outside area for smokers and you'll do well.…
