From pecan waffles to legendary hash browns, breakfast fare rules at this homey 24-hour chain restaurant--but don't miss the chili.. In Short Since 1955, this Atlanta-based chain has welcomed an all-hours crowd of shift workers, suits, regulars and late-night partiers with comfy booths and an extensive menu of Southern-accented home-style grub. Waffles (pecan or regular) are the restaurant's most popular dish. Other breakfast favorites include porterhouse T-bone steak and eggs, country ham, and signature hash browns cooked seven ways, from smothered with onions to topped with chili or cheese. Another bargain is the bowl of chili, which comes topped with onions, ham and cheese.
These are all over on the east coast and it was nice to see a couple pop up around here, too. The place is small but clean and everyone seems friendly. I like the way they great you from behind the counter as soon as you walk in the door. That cheesesteak breakfast sandwich they have is excellent. Inexpensive, fast service.
