Here is a tip. Do not waste your time with this place. Bad customer service and prices equal to all other big box and independent dealers. Very sorry I spent my time and money at this location it has been a nightmare.
WE purchased an over the stove microwave and went to Spencer's because of their advertising... The smaller company that treats clients like friends. Dont you believe it!
We had problems as soon as the microwave was above the stove. (yes we should have tested the buttons before installing, but did not) The timer did not work & the 30 second button did not work.
My husband took the microwave out and back to the store today... knowing we would not get a full refund but expecting SOMETHING. Perhaps as small as a 10% discount??? Instead the manager (TIm) restated their policy and told us we should have called and waited 3 more days to have someone repair it. Perhaps this is their policy, but some consideration would have been nice. We will NOT be shopping here again.
BUYER BEWARE!!! We purchased 3 KitchenAid Appliances from Spencers about 1 month ago! A fridge, wall oven and dishwasher. I love my dishwasher! However the door to the wall oven is crooked and the inside of the door has a small ding, like as if they shut the door and something was caught in the middle because the ding is on both sides. We have gone round and round with Spencers. They tell us to call KitchenAid and when we did, they were puzzled as to why they told us to do that. We called Spencer's back and did not hear from them for 3 days. We feel that they just keep putting us off. We are SO disappointed. We have had to hound them to do something, but they keep telling us it's KitchenAid's problem. Finally, KitchenAid's agreed to send a "REPAIR" guy, so my husband stayed home from work and just called to say the guy was a NO SHOW! He called KitchenAid and they have no record of a repair guy scheduled to come over. Unbelieveable! I believe it's Spencer's duty and obligation to get us out of the middle and REPLACE my wall oven. I bought a NEW oven and do not want it REPAIRED. I want a new oven, which is what I paid for! I'm so mad right now! I got a 2nd job and saved and saved for my appliances and now we are having to go round and round with Spencer's on Ray Rd! They advertise great customer service! WELL IT SUCKS! SPENCERS HAS BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! If this does not get resolved, I'm calling 3 On Your Side! One pissed ovenless mama!
I recently had my front load washer go out on me and was torn whether I should just purchase a new set or just the washer. I did the regular price shopping at best buy, Fry's, Sears, as well as Spencer's. Here's the thing, all of the prices are fairly consistent even though I did end up getting the best deal at Spencer,s. So the way I look at is your buying a relationship because you know you will be replacing them every 5-10 years. What separated the salesman (Richie Alvarez) at Spencer's from the rest is the amount of information he was able to provide whether it be what I actually needed in terms size, brand, capacity, ect. In addition, they were very knowledgeable about rebates and promotions which made me decide to go ahead with buying the Whirlpool set instead of just the washer. I feel the salespeople at Spencer's look at their position as a career rather than a temporary position for a student trying to supplement their income which shows much more pride in their customer service.
think again – I bought a dishwasher over the phone from Spencers, they had me contact the install company directly to make sure it would fit. I emailed him a pic of the opening and the dimensions, he assured me it would fit but on install day it did not. I chose another model and it was installed but it would not drain. Spencers had me call Goldwing who have now come out 5 times and it is STILL not draining. Spencers will not replace it and I have no interest in having Goldwing come back to my house. I am EXTREMELY dis-satisfied with Goldwing and Spencers. I have contacted the manager of both Spencers and Goldwing and all they offered was to come back out and try again, after 7 visits - NO THANKS!!!
