out of this world Chile rellenos. I am talking about great customer service and great Mexican food. This place has a nice friendly family atmosphere. When you walk in, immediately you are greeted with a friendly face. The inviting feeling you get from the wait staff as well is reassuring that you are going to be taken care of.

My favorite dish is their Chile Relleno Plate. This is a green chile stuffed with cheese, prepared with an egg batter that is deep-fried. This is smothered with a subtle green sauce and sprinkled with melted cheese. This is served with a flour tortilla, rice and beans.

As soon as the plate has been served, you can smell the richness of the chile sauce. From the first cut into the chile to the last delightful bite, the cheese oozes out full of flavor. The sauce, cheese, egg batter, and chile compliment each other wonderfully. The rice and refried beans are steamy hot. Of course you are pre-warned about this hot plate as it is being placed in front of you. The flour tortilla is wrapped in foil on the side. I use it for dipping or mixing my own little concoction of my own inside it. This plate covers all the fun and excitement I need for my Mexican food fix.

If you ever decide to go out with your family for a good chile relleno plate, then I highly recommend going to Serrano’s.

All around great restaurant. Always top notch. Inexpensive. Romantic music by roving musicians. Always excellent service. Best chips and salsa and warm bean dip in town.
