Just Okay.... The food was good for the most part (shrimp was overcooked -rubbery). The rice was really good. We waited a long time for the cook to come out and we had to ask the waitress twice for drink refills. We liked it enough to try it again though.

Good food - Terrible service. I have to agree with most of the postings here. The food is good and the chefs make it a fun experience; however, it is also true that the waitresses are rude and good luck getting a drink refill the first time you ask. I also heard the waitress be quite rude to a woman sitting at our table (not in our party) for politely asking for another fork because her son had dropped it on the floor. The waitress walked past three times and did not bring her a new one while the food was getting cold. Finally, the chef said something to her in Japenese and it was brought.

Yummy. Ate there for lunch today. The food was good. The service was good. I will eat there again.

Ah*Mazing. I have been going to As-Ho's for at least 7 years now. It is my families favorite spot for birthdays and other special occasions. The sushi is always excellent and we have never recieved bad service. They make excellent mixed drinks and have a good variety of wine to chose from. In the 7 years I have been eating hear and bringing my friends and family to the restaurant I have never had one complaint about any wait or service. We are actually taking my mother here for her birthday which is on Christmas Eve.This is and will always be my FAVORITE resaturant.

Best Sushi in all Phoenix. Moved to Gilbert 2 years ago from NYC area. The other reviews are Crazy. I've eaten hear no less than 15 times. ALWAYS fresh. Don't come here for the service, its too many table s in the main room. Walk in and go to the right where you seat yourself near the bar. only about 6 tables there and service is no problem. The food takes just a few minutes longer than normal. Reason is EVERYthing is made fresh. I've never had a problem. It's either Most of the staff speak japaneese so be clear when you order. They have a sushi boat that rocks! Again, sushi is always 100% fresh. And I'm not one of those crazy reviews who don't know what they are saying let the other people who posted here ;-)

Ah-so Japanse Restaurant. Horrible service. Waited for seats for 10 minutes, without even being acknowledged. I will never go to Ah-So again.

The waitresses are rude. Everytime I asked for a refill she would walk away and yelled things in chinese!

Ah-so = awful service. I still dine here regulary as I have not found any other sushi restaurant in the valley that combines great food with great service. Fish is usually fresh at Ah-so, especially on Fridays. Service is absolutely terrible! It seems that everytime I dine there the waitress forgets my drink order and I have to remind her several times. It usually takes several minutes before being acknowledged. If you sit in the sushi bar area expect to hear yelling. The waitresses tend to yell at the sushi chefs concerning sushi orders for those seated in the dining room. Not a pleasant environment.

Ah so terrible service and atmosphere. Our party of 6 had a terrible experience. 3 in our party asked to order from grill, manager said OK, waitress had a fit but relented. Food sat on table for over 10 min without silverware, late in bringing drinks. When we paid bill, gave 10% tip (lucky she even got that) and she had the nerver to COMPLAIN that the tip was too small and threatened to go to the register and change it after we left!!!

Not even soso. Ah so wasn't even soso. We had 1 in our party of 4 who was a non sushi eater and when we asked to see a menu they said...oh....then her food could take a long time. The waitress left and never returned to our table so we left!
