Animatronic dinosaurs and full-scale dioramas make for educational family fun.. In Short
A dead-on favorite with kids in the throes of their dinosaur phase, Mesa Southwest Museum has permanent animatronic dinosaur exhibits that are very lifelike. For non-dino fans, the museum offers full-scale dioramas of ancient cave-dwellers and a primitive village settlement, a real-live jail and a panning-for-gold stream that rivals Knott's Berry Farm. Parents can go for coffee breaks on the rooftop terrace.  View Less View More

PAN FOR GOLD. This museum is great for the kids. You can pan for gold, talk to Native Americans, look at cowboys, bank robbers, and even see dinosaurs. You can't get much better than that.  View Less View More
