A dead-on favorite with kids in the throes of their dinosaur phase, Mesa Southwest Museum has permanent animatronic
dinosaur exhibits that are very lifelike. For non-dino fans, the museum offers full-scale dioramas of ancient cave-dwellers and a primitive village settlement, a real-live jail and a panning-for-gold stream that rivals Knott's Berry Farm. Parents can go for coffee breaks on the rooftop terrace.
