CRAVE. IT..
I could eat there everyday! The Mango Chicken Salad, Stuffed Queso, Beef Tacos, and when they have their specials, be still my taste buds! I am usually too full for dessert so a special trip has to be made for the FLAN!!!!! So Good!
We also make a special trip just for the chips and salsa for every party and family event and sometimes just because. I only wish we had one closer, but it is SO worth the drive!

Worst. Food. Ever..
I'm not a particularly picky eater. I'll eat warm rocks if I have to, but Rosa's is quite possibly the absolute WORST food I've ever eaten in my life. Not the worst Mexican food, the WORST FOOD EVER. The only reason I'm giving this one star is because I can't give it no stars. This is nothing like real Mexican food. When I walked through the door I got the whiff of mediocre Mexican food like you find at Garcia's, Mi Amigo's, Macayo's, etc. But at least when you go to those places they are palatable and you know what you're getting into.
First off, the green tomatillo salsa is SWEET. Not just sweet like a dash of sugar, but sickly sweet. Never in my life have I had a sweet tomatillo salsa. I quickly changed to the red salsa which was palatable, but still mediocre. I ordered a chimichanga thinking that no one can mess up on of those. I was wrong. The meat was sweet, the salsa was sweet, the rice and beans were also nothing special. My wife ordered the fish tacos. They were also sweet. Mexican food is not generally supposed to be sweet unless you order a dish like mole. The best thing that came to our table were the nachos we ordered for our toddler.
When the bill came I felt extremely cheated. This place is way overpriced for what you get. If you want to know what Rosa's is like, get a taco from the restaurant of your choice and through a cup of sugar onto it, and enjoy. I would have much more enjoyed Taco Bell, and I definitely wouldn't have felt cheated on the price. I will never return to this place nor will I ever recommend it to anyone who wants authentic or delicious Mexican food.

FAN TAs Tic! Food , service and people.
I live in VA and had to fly to AZ to help my son after he had been in an auto accident. We found Rosa's quite by chance and ended up eating there almost every night!! The people at Rosa's could not have been more friendly. What a warm wonderful group! I was staying at the Homestead for the weeks I was there and they so kindly would bring me a fresh bag of chips and salsa when I was leaving for late night snacking! The pitcher of Margarita's was great as were the fish tacos with the fruity salsa! I never eat beans but could not resist their smoky goodness! I gained 10 lbs in 2 weeks. My husband is going to visit my son in a few weeks and he doesn't like Mexican food but I made him promise me to go there! They may make him a fan! I

Don't eat at Rosa's.
Don't eat at Rosa's Mexican Grill - Located at 328 E University Drive, Mesa, AZ 85201
Don't get me wrong. Rosa's has great food, great service and and overall great atmosphere. But believe me when I say all it takes is one BAD employee to put a sour taste in your mouth.
I dined there this past saturday and this morning when checking my online statement for my bank I discovered that I was charged twice. This has happened to me before at other establishments and it is an easy mistake to fix. But when you have a horrible so-called "general manager" such as Bert Diaz, it becomes another story.
I called the restaurant and spoke with Mr. Diaz this morning and he proceeded to tell me that I was, in fact wrong, that I was not charged twice and that I was reading my statement incorrectly. I tried to explain to him that I was indeed charged twice and he continued to talk to me like I was some kind of moron.
I was IRRATE at the service I received from this man because every other time I have ever dined there I was pleased to have such great service.
I called my bank and confirmed that yes, I was charged twice and I explained to the customer service rep the hassle I was getting from the manager at Rosa's so I had to fill out a Visa dispute form.
Bottom line is: Rosa's is a great restaurant but no matter how great the food or how many GOOD employees they have all it takes is ONE person to make you never want to eat there again.
Way to go Mr. Diaz, General Manager.

Good and fast and good!.
The shrimp is always excellent and the salsa is to be remembered. Good place for families and the location has lots of good parking. Fast service. Menu is a trifle concocted, without taking a lot of chances with wimpy american palates. Nothing hot on the menu, but still one of the best in the city,

An amazing surprise.
This place doesn't look like much from the outside... It is not in a fancy location which is probably why they're able to keep their prices so low. If you see a wait don't turn away. Normally the wait is not long and is well worth it. I've never had food so fresh before! The beef is to die for... always tender. The tomatillo or green sauce is the best! The seafood is equaly fresh and the portions just perfect. Try the orchata (typical Mexican drink), is freshly made and delicious and finally the churros are a must! they are filled with some kind of caramel and they come with ice cream. I will be for ever their customer. They had me at hello :) THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN THE PHOENIX AREA!

It's OK.
Not a bad place. You can do worse in Mesa. I like the combo plate with a burrito and a soft taco, both with shredded beef. I like that they use a very mild white cheese, rather than something more overpowering. The beans are pretty good, too.

This is the BEST FOOD on the Planet!!.
I absolutely LOVE the food at Rosas. I live in Salt Lake City, Utah, I drive to the airport, fly to Phoenix and rent a car, drive to Rosas to have lunch, drive back to the airport, return my rental car, and fly home! I do this on any special occasion, my birthday, anniversary, ground hog day! I am their #1 fan! You have to try the beef quesidilla... to absolutely die for!
Their BEEF is unsurpassed - even in Mexico!
This is one restaurant you will love forever!

Our neighborhood place.
We feel lucky that Rosa's is close to us. We often eat there once a week and get a friendly personal touch.
The food is great and we aren't left feeling heavy and greasy. The seafood is a favorite and so are the margaritas.
We often take friends there and they always love it. Plus for some reason there is rarely a long wait.
