GREAT food and service – We need a venue for a wedding dinner for 60 and we chose The Landmark sight unseen which was a little scary, but they were so helpful and patient. It was wonderful to work with the staff at The Landmark. Everything was perfect and handled so professionally. We appreciate every ones hard work and the food was GREAT everyone commented on their wonderful experience. Everyone involved it was superb.
AVOID AT ALL COST – My visit was the worst that I have ever had at any restaurant! The service was far from good! I wish I would have went anywhere else but to this restaurant. For your own good avoid this place at all cost!!!!!! Save your money and go to Dennys because it taste a lot better and they treat you like people.
Worst place to have a party – The service is not the worst but close to it. Server not trained to take care of customers. Food was tolerable. Price was high for the quality and service. We will not be back to the "The Landmark Restaurant". Very unhappy!!!! Save your money and go to the "Golden Arches".
Best sit down dinner in the area – Excellent service, on top of the excellent salad bar located in the historical kitchen. Very nice decor with an historical aspect of early Arizona and the food is excellent.
The biggest, best and most diverse salad bar that I've ever seen! – I take my out of town guests to the Landmark and they are so impressed that when they return it is the first restaurant that they want to go to. You can get all of the regular salad bar items PLUS quail eggs, pickled watermellon rinds, shrimp and everything you'd ever want. I am diabetic and when I crave a certain item instead of having to buy a jar or can and risk severely increasing my sugar levels, I go to the Landmark Restaurant and have a little dab of "forbidden" items and feel totally satisfied!!!!
Landmark Restaurant – Best flatiron steak. Best chicken salad sandwich for lunch. Best service. Excellent overall value for the money.
Best Home Cooking And Salad Bar. – Service excellent. Food beyond compare. Prices very reasonable. Wonderful decor. Friendly.
Bring all our out of town guests. Everyone loves it. One New Yorker said best salmon she ever had.
Best Salad Bar, Outstanding meals and customer service. – We discoved the Landmark Restaurant June 2005 when a friend suggested it for a business luncheon meeting. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity of the food. We have returned several times during the year and continue to be pleased with the meals and the outstanding service. The Landmark has meals to fit everyone's taste and special requests. We have been watching our calorie intake and always find entrees that stay within our diet.
The salad bar is the best.
Luxurious Dining experience that is economically pleasing as well – The Landmark Restaurant is by far Mesa's best kept dining secret. From the moment you enter this historical treasure and begin to ascend the formal staircase, your senses will be tempted with the fresh aromas of the exquisite menu and be impressed with the atmosphere. The restaurant itself, is a work of art.
The bottom floor is exquisitely decorated for group meetings, weddings and professional seminars. Housed in individually decorated rooms fit for a king or queen. Displayed throughout the bottom are historic photographs of the Mesa area, showing the owners pride in the City's great history. The original wood floors and baseboards are beautifully kept and cared for.
The sedon floor is where the true magic happens. The Landmark hosts a first class salad bar. The Salad Bar is more like a salad room experience. There are items to please even the most picky off person. It's items are reflective of the native southwest, while encorporating soulful soups and the best side salads (all prepared at the restaurant) found in a salad bar. The vegetables are always fresh and the homemade chocolate chip cookies rival even grandmothers.
After you have challenged your senses to the plethera of items in the salad room, you will be seated in an elegant dining room. The menu is perfect! It has everything you can imagine. The menu has seafood, comfort food, filet mignon and incredible specials, created by their wordly chef. In between courses you will be served with a palette refresher that is just delightful.
The service is excellent! The staff at the Landmark are wonderfully friendly and responsive to your needs. They are insurpassed in service.
The Landmark is one of my personal favorite restaurants in Arizona. It is the most elegant family owned and operated restaurant I know.
The Landmark makes you feel as though you have just had dinner at your friends home, it is that personal, friendly and comforting.
Best in Mesa.
The Landmark has it all...history, atmosphere, great food (variety and taste), great service – Our family fell in love with the Landmark 19 years ago and we head there for dinner and lunch whenever we can. Each visit to The Landmark is like a homecoming for us. We've enjoyed seeing Don and Candy over the years and watching their children grow up and stand along side them growing the family business together. We never tire of revisiting their historical photo gallery or eating their signature dishes which always includes at least one visit to the salad ROOM. The Ellis family team has always made us feel welcome and so have the staff so we never hesitate to recommend our favorite valley restaurant to newcomers because we know they will be well taken care of.
