Not Exactly HOMEMADE!
by PLouiseBeTruthful at Citysearch
First of all..... The food is good. Not excellent or anything outstandingly great. The waitresses are nice and very helpful. My only problem with the place is that Cindy brags that her pies are homemade when in all actuallity they are purchased from Fry's grocery store- Marie Callenders to be exact. The last time I was there I thought the Split Pea w/ ham soup sounded good but it wasn't available that day because.... As Cindy said..."The chef forgot to buy split peas when he went to the store!" Yah right! So... the soup isn't homemade either. I had a friend who worked there and she gave me the lowdown on all of Cindys so called "SECRETS". So there ya have it. Good food but not homemade! I just don't prefer to be lied to.

The best home style cooking I've had since I left Wisconsin. Very reasonablly priced. Her (Cindy) secret recipes, I had the scallopped potatoes< are the best.
