What People Are Saying About Rustler's Rooste

In Short – Perched atop a hill at Pointe South Mountain Resort, this lively steakhouse with live country music performed every night affords stunning views of Phoenix. A live bull is penned up next to the entrance, which resembles an Old-West mine. Patrons can slide down a chute to the large, rustic dining area with a sawdust floor. Massive prime rib, T-bones and porterhouse steaks headline the menu, but fried rattlesnake is a notable starter.
2 Stars are all it's worth

I have been to rustler's roost twice and have decided it's not worth the time. I give every place 2 chances to impress me. But when i go twice and have a lackluster experience, I'm pretty sure I shouldn't waste my money after that. The food is OK, the atmosphere is fun, but the service is horrible and the hostesses are rude. i think they try and put too much work onto too few people and expect everything to be great. It tends to get pricey when the food is only so-so. if it were less expensive, I would probably go again, even with slow service.
- Pros: Cute set-up, nice live music, good atmosphere for families
- Cons: Slow service, average food at high prices
Good food, but price-y

Great food! Excellent biscuits, sweet corn-on-the-cob, moist and flavorful salmon (rice was very good!), my friend's fried chicken looked delicious!, and the cowpie dessert (coffee ice cream on an oreo crust with a crunchy chocolate coating and phyllo threads for extra crunch) was a great ending. Skip the fry bread.
- Pros: Good food
- Cons: Price-y
A must see in Phoenix

This was an amazing place to eat. Not just because of the food, but the view.
Nothing comes close to the view from this place.
The band was great, the food was really good, and if you have never eaten rattle snake, this is the place!
This is an ideal place to bring people from out of town.
If they are not impressed, send them home!
- Pros: view, food
- Cons: none
