There's food under all those seasonings?. I have made two trips to Macaroni Grill (Deer Valley location) and both times I left disappointed. I tried two different dishes there, both specialities, and both so overly seasoned I couldn't tell what kind of meat I was supposed to be eating. There were so many different, very strong, almost overpowering seasonings added to the dish, I couldn't distinguish them from each other. The seasonings that were added definately didn't compliment all the others, or the dish itself. In their defense, the atmosphere is great, but not enough to make up for the food. I won't be back.
How Do You Grill Macaroni?. How do you grill macaroni without it falling through the grill rack? An answer to this question is what prompted us to try this restaurant. Although we didn't see any grilled macaroni dishes on the menu, there was a wide selection of scrumptious items to choose from. My personal favorite is the lobster ravioli, pieces of succulent lobster tucked away in tender pasta and laced with a velvety sauce. Ummmm!!!
Move over Olive Garden.
Just had dinner at the Macaroni Grill. What a great time I had. We had the Shrimp portofino which was awesome and we were able to create our own pasta dish by picking any ingredient they had in teh kitchen. My server told me starting in a few weeks we won't have to request this that they are offering it on the menu. Now my wife and I can get the pasta any way we want it, what an awesome ideal. We also had there specially drink the Bellini what a great refreshing drink.
Keep it up in Ahwatukee we will be back. The food is awesome and fresh.
