Mediocre Mexican Worth the Wait?.
We waited about 20 minutes on a Friday night to get in. When seated, it felt like we were in someone's own house. Service was very friendly and prompt. We did not have to ask twice to get drinks refilled, more chips, etc. I'd say the food was good, but not necessarily better than many other Mexican food places I've been to. Margaritas were very big and....potent! Prices were reasonable. We paid about $30 for 2 entrees and 2 huge margaritas. When we left at 745pm there were still tons of people waiting in line to get in.

Great Mom & Pop Feel.
We ate at Poncho's for the first time recently and I will definately go back. I was a little slow, but everything was so good. The salsa is served in a a bottle, so you can continue to fill your bowl as needed! Order the el Crudo Burro, it is big enough to share, and the shredded beef is so tender and juicy!

Southside D.
My family & I have been eating at Poncho's for 20+ years. This restaurant is a South Phoenix Institution; excellent food, fun atmosphere, great value. Forget the chains and eat at this great independent restaurant.
