Ken's Transmission

Best place ever!!. Took my older truck into Ken's because I thought the transmission was shot. I was planning on spending around $2k for a total transmission rebuild. Had my trucked towed to Ken's and within 30 minutes they called me back and said it didn't need a transmission rebuild and that I had some error codes in my computer that weren't related to my transmission. They offered to have it towed to a full-service auto shop and have some tests done on it. Only reason I refused is because I can do these other repairs myself. Ken's saved me around $1500.00! My repairs that I did myself cost me $500. Ken's didn't even charge me for the tests that they did!! GREAT PLACE, never experienced anything like it!…

BAD TROUBLESHOOTING. Dropped off car at 7:50 am. Described issues it was having and asked them to service the transmission. A second employee told the first that "servicing" wouldn't correct my problem. Thirty minutes later I received a call stating tranny was shot and would cost $1700 to rebuild. Asked them what kind of troubleshooting they did in 30 minutes when their garage was full of cars and nobody had been working yet. Didn't receive a satisfactory answer from them. I took my car home, reseated a pig-tail connector at the alternator and the car runs perfect now. NO ERROR CODES, NO SLIPPING OR HARD SHIFTING, and most important NO $1700 out of my pocket. What a joke this place is.…
