Australian tchotchkes and brews give this quintessentially American restaurant a distinctive Down Under flavor..
In Short
Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.
Best one in Phoenix!. The owner of this location has built up the premier Outback experience. He has always had a staff that makes you want to keep coming back, because of the way they treat you when you are there. It doesn't matter if you are a first-timer, or a regular... When people ask where to get a good value for good food, I always direct them here! Just go in, ask for Jim (the owner) or Chris (the GM) and tell them Rick sent you!!!
Good steak, great service. Outback is the ideal place to treat the family to dinner. Though not on par with Ruth's Chris or Morton's, the steaks are tasty and affordable and the menu includes many alternatives that appeal to traditional and progressive pallates alike. In addition to the food, Outback service is excellent. The waitstaff is attentive, friendly and adept at serving large groups and families. Expect a long wait on the weekend.
