I have always enjoyed this Macayo's restaurant, the food is delicious and the decor is festively Mexico. As a matter of fact, we are taking some out-of-town friends here tonight! The layout of the restaurant is 'open', so if there are misbehaving children around they could be heard as was the complaint of the previous reviewer. I don't think having a poor experience because of other patrons is a reason to rate the business low. The food is excellent and the staff prompt and courteous. I'd recommend a visit for dinner or lunch!

Poor food, and poor customer service... Not a good combo!. Our visit started okay, but went downhill quickly. We were pleasantly greeted when we arrived, and quickly seated. So far so good!

Being seated next to a couple with two screaming toddlers wasn't the most relaxing thing, but we were hungry.

Our waitress came over quickly and took our drink orders. When she arrived with the drinks we ordered our food. My wife suggested I try the Baja Burrito. Sounded good...spicy.. had cheese on top... beans. I ordered it, and my wife ordered the Tortilla soup.

The waitress brings out the soup a couple minutes after we order saying that my plate will be out soon. I tell my wife to go ahead and eat. I head to the restroom, and when I get back there's my meal. There was some sort of cream cheese sauce on top of the burrito. I hate cream cheese and would never have ordered it had I known it was on. I eat Mexican food out at least four times a week and have never had anything like this. Gag!!

The waitress comes over, and I say I can't eat this. I said all I want is a regular burrito and some beans. Okay... here's where I thought the customer service fell apart. She tells me she'll ?have to check with the manager.? You've got to be kidding me. I never took a bite out of this horrible mess.

I ordered a plain burrito, but got a chimichanga instead. My new meal came out quickly. When my bill came it had the Baja Burrito still on it. No problem.

I guess the real thing that irritated me was the "I'll have to talk to the manager" line. Give me a break. Like I'm asking for something so extraordinary that this takes manager approval. She couldn't just say ?sorry (whether she meant it or not)... let me get you a menu so you can order something else.?

I?ve complained on their website, but have never heard back from them. Shows how much they really care about their customers.

Will I go back? NO!!!
