I like this place. My first time in guitar center from cottonwood, I wanted to buy a sound system for my room. The African American/Indian? guy was really helpful. He drew out how to connect the sound system and was very patient with my questions. I love the fact that they double checked everything at the door since the guy forgot a cable and the door girl caught that. Loud music, friendly staff, loved the vibe !

Just as the electric guitar started gaining popularity in the '60s, so did this once-modest, now monumental music store chain, which has grown to become the country's largest retailer of musical instruments. The store is packed with merchandise hanging overhead, crowding the aisles and monopolizing the walls. Contrary to its name, it's not just about acoustic and electric guitars; it also serves the needs of keyboardists, drummers and horn players.
